Upon arriving at the Muse we were really impressed; beautiful hotel in a picturesque spot. The train that passed the hotel was not in the slightest off putting and our children loved it. The hotel staff were very friendly, especially Mike who was very accommodating. That said, we stayed in the interconnecting rooms behind the pool. The rooms were very spacious and appealing to the eye however throughout our stay there was an awful smell of drains and sewage. We also had a few issues with power cuts and when the air conditioning was switched on we could smell smoke and rubbish, which I assume came from staff smoking near the aircon units and bin rubbish presumably. The staff were quick to burn cinnamon to help with the smell and offered us another room however we (2 adults, 3 children) had picked up a sickness bug during our stay and we needed rest. Also with 3 children we required interconnecting rooms only which wouldn’t have been possible if we moved. The smell continued for the duration and we asked the staff daily to burn the cinnamon to help. We paid £2555 for 6 nights and sadly felt that the price did not reflect our stay. Our feedback was presented however our thoughts were dismissed and suggested it could have been dirty nappies.

This hotel was the perfect stay for us for 2 weeks. My husband had a shoulder op before we arrived, so we needed somewhere that would be relaxing, near the beach, chilled out, and would be a safe place to be stress free. The Muse ticked every single box. The team here is phenomenal. They were on hand at all times, very attentive without being intrusive. Delicious breakfast served every morning by the fabulous Maheth on our patio area, he made sure we had everything we needed, even my own special milk. Every afternoon, we had stunning tea or coffee with homemade pastries, and their dinner menu was pure perfection. Our very comfortable room was VIP with the jacuzzi, which was my sanctuary. Whilst my husband rested, I lazed in there reading and let the stresses slip away. The beautiful clean beach is 2 mins walk, always a free sunbed & a member of the team who brings ice lollies. The room cleaners were on hand for everything, nothing is too much trouble here. The management and team are probably the best I have ever experienced one even entertained us with his dancing, thankyou The Muse, highly recommend to everyone
