Very friendly staff. Clean and modern room. Food is good.

Sunday lunch. Very busy. Food was good & the waitress service was super friendly but OMG I wish the landlord would stop trying to be funny as he's really not very good at it.

An old inn in a village near Wallingford, it shows some minor signs of wear & tear. Medium-sized car park, and a large bar-restaurant area with distinct zones. The food offer (dinner) is fairly conventional but the chiclen caesar salad that I chose was well-presented and actually quite tasty, with an excellent Hook Norton beer. Breakfast was a little unimaginative, with no cooked options, but had a range of elements and perfectly adequate. Service was rather lackadaisical but did the job. The bedrooms were clean and reasonably comfortable, with bathrooms, but suffered from a lack of storage and places to hang clothes. All in all, better than average but not exceptional, and £109 for one night B&B

Joined family for a Sunday roast, my autistic son was struggling to choose a drink and the man serving us (I assume was the landlord) said to me “What would you like to drink while misery guts makes up his mind ” which reduced my son to tears , he then said to my Mum who ordered a one shot oat flat white “Oh for god sake!” Shocking customer service! The roast beef that was advertised as served pink was well done. If you are looking for mediocre food with very poor service ( the young ladies on shift were delightful by the way!) then this is the place for you!

We have been to this lovely pub with friends and family for meals and drinks, and we have never left disappointed. Food is always delicious and always very high quality! The staff is kind and attentive. Inside it’s really warm and cosy and there ‘s a lovely area outside where to enjoy the sunny weather. Could not recommend more, even just to breathe the atmosphere of a lovely evening.

Excellent stay again at The Crown... didn't think it could get any better, but it has. The little changes made over the last year are superb. Great restaurant with the best Sunday roast we have ever had! Staff are so friendly and the Landlord is so friendly and welcoming too. Room was beautiful with roll top bath. Great live singer when we arrived in the garden on Sunday which was a lovely touch. Our visit was superb and we will be back again very soon.
