What a nice hotel! Staff was very friendly (interacted with at least 6 or 7 employees and they all were great and helpful. Room was awesome—we had a Fleury King room that had a huge main room with a king bed and plenty of space for multiple pieces of luggage, a writing desk and a coffee bar. The bathroom was one of the best we’ve had. Enormous room, double sinks, nice rainfall shower (water could be a little hotter) and separate toilet room. Good breakfast and neat little bar with an accommodating bartender. Had to leave for our train at 5:00 am and the night receptionist arranged for two cappuccinos to go in the morning. Nice touch.

I can’t speak highly enough of my stay at Maison 1896. The property itself is wonderful - beautiful, clean, excellent amenities and comfortable. But the service is what took this stay above and beyond. Thank you to all of the staff at Maison 1896 for making our trip so excellent - Meghann for helping us plan every detail of our time in Burgundy, Benjamin and Alex at the front desk for being so kind and accommodating, and the Slanted Door team that welcomed us for a lovely dinner. Will absolutely be staying here during my next trip to Burgundy!

Excellent hotel. We were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our rooms by Kevin. Rooms are spacious and well equipped (nespresso machine, hair dryer, conditioner). Lots of room to spread out (room 32) Bartenders spoke great english and were helpful and friendly (especially Ryan). Great gin and tonics ( with a black peppercorn). Breakfast fruit, omelette and croissants were tasty. Great location for restaurants and access to hike in vineyards.

We thoroughly enjoyed our five day stay at this wonderful hotel!! We had spent time in Beaune last October and this trip was even better thanks in large part to our decision to stay at MAISON 1896. Its location is excellent being centrally situated in town within walking distance of numerous excellent restaurants. The room was great, plenty of room including a spacious bathroom and shower, and the hotel is very modern and well appointed. Breakfasts were excellent. The staff was extraordinary, and tended promptly to every request. We were particularly impressed with Alexis and Marck, who were always gracious as well as ready to help us meet any and all needs. This even included helping us find profession same day treatment for my wife who had hurt her back. We look forward to returning.

Perfect location to stay for a 3 night visit to Beane. It is more 4.5⭐️ just can’t give it 5 for how expensive it is and expectations for a new boutique hotel in historic building. It’s a little confusing to find with our cell service not working in town & not knowing where to park on arrival but you literally pull your car on the sidewalk in front of Maison door. Valet Mark and all the front desk staff were excellent, kind & welcoming. The room, Fleury King, overlooked Pl. de la Halle. On check in when valet showed us our room we asked about warm room temp were told due to it being Nov the system was off & we were unable to go cooler in the room than I think 22C = 71.6F (maybe 20C?) but we could open the windows. It was cool outside so that was nice option. Only issue is the area outside is somewhat noisy in general and very early morning there was lots of beeping from trucks & Sat morning market set up; so not great sleep over 3 nights with windows open & hit when closed. Room is very quiet with windows closed. They do not do a top sheet, only duvet which was hot (not unusual in Europe) left note for housekeeping in French asking for one which we didn’t get. Pillows are very firm but I’m guessing they had other options if we had asked (I take my own.) Bathroom was beautiful & large. Ours had rain shower & separate soaking tub. Nice brass fixtures. They only leave 2 towel sets/day and there was water leakage from shower & sink so it would be nice to have extra. We had a few items brought to our room for breakfast each morning which was nice; Coke Zero is extra. Checkout seemless! Valet had car at set time & came to get luggage. Small bar is cozy & very nice. Service borders on pretentious. Beautiful hotel, great location & service just a few misses for me. No deal breaker.

Beautiful newly renovated hotel with wonderfully designed rooms. Service is extremely helpful. The front desk coordinated dinner reservations, taxis to and from the train station, and pickup and drop-off for our full day wine tasting. Breakfast was delicious and included in our room rate. Location couldn’t be better to enjoy the lovely town of Beaune. Can’t recommend this hotel enough.
