This is your basic hotel. Nothing fancy about this place. I had to chuckle at the TV in the room. While the spot for the TV could accommodate a much larger one, the one in my room was only 30”. I sat on the edge of my bed to watch the Monday Night Football game, so I wouldn’t miss anything. The USB plugs by the bed stand didn’t work and there are no power outlets by the desk. I unplugged the coffee maker, off to the side of the desk, so I could charge my computer. Not sure why, but there was a portable dehumidifier in the room that clunked every time it came on. I turned it off before going to bed. Otherwise the room was clean and fresh.

Very easy on/off the Interstate (except for one interchange under construction). Very clean. It was Independance Day, and there were only 10 cars in the entire lot. Thus, our stay was extremely quiet. Breakfast was over before we got up (ends at 0900), which was understandable with the number of guests (but, it doesn't take much to open anyway until 1030 as other locations). It served its purpose and we were on our way.

We are long time users of Marriott. The experience with the Fairfield in Beaumont was unsatisfactory. The first thing noticeable is the overwhelming odor of mildew throughout the facility. Furnishings and finishes are not what we're used to seeing and the common space is small and unwelcoming. We would not stay here again.

Check in was a breeze. Tanna and Anna were amazing at answering questions and concerns. We checked in early, room wasn’t available yet but Anna ran to car and let us know one was ready asap. Large rooms with plenty of amenities. House keeping went above and beyond when it was needed (at our request)

So I usually stay at this hotel when I’m in Beaumont for business… never had a bad experience until yesterday. It was 7 am when I woke up for the rest room. And found a pretty good sized roach crawling around on the bathroom. I only spent one night so this was the morning of my check out date. I told the front desk and I was offered $15 … I thought she was joking … then the person who I was later informed is the general manager ( which was a bigger joke) offered marriot points . I was told to call back after 3 today ( January 31st) to speak with the manager . But that was useless, I refused to pay for a room that had roaches In it. None of the staff even looked at the video I had or attempted to go to the room. They lost a good client in me.. I wouldn’t stay there again .

I checked in after driving all day from New Mexico, so I was tired. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member so I always pick a Marriott hotel without reading any reviews. I have never really had a bad experience. The 1 st room was an upgraded room on the 1st floor. There was a portable dehumidifier running in the room and the mold smell was so bad I had to plug my nose. So then I moved up to the 3rd floor. It was supposed to “smell” better up there and not have the mildew problem. Again there was a dehumidifier running in the room. The entire hotel smells of mildew. I had to ask for my money back and find another hotel. It was just not possible to stay there.
