A very good hotel in regard to cleanliness, accessibility, location and service. The staff is very friendly and you will be treated like one of them. Very good breakfast and free parking. By sure we return to Hotel Alpi in future for more adventures in Lago Maggiore.

This might be the best kept hidden gem at Lago Maggiore. We booked and looking at the available prices we were anticipating a "not so exciting place to stay" (you know the feeling). When we got there we were greeted and were helped to find a parking spot. The person helped us with some toll issues we had because of our inexperiance with driving in Italy and the fun that is the toll road network. Breafast was great and the location was fantastic! We were a bit surprised that this place is not better rated or more expensive. Definitely recommend!

The first thing we noticed on entering our 3rd floor room, was the stunning view and balcony. However, this was dampened on opening the balcony doors due to the noise from the road in front of us. Clearly the main road in the area. This will not suit people looking for a lake view + serenity. Having said this, the hotel is good value and barely 10 minutes walk to the lakeside via some lovely public gardens. A supermarket is also 5 minutes walk for those wanting to stock up for picnic lunches. It was a short, flat walk from the train station and similar into the main Bavano town. The room did not have a mini fridge. The other downside was that they switched off air-conditioning in September and switched on heating. The temperature during our stay was still high (from a Britsh perspective) and we would have enjoyed the option of aircon. Especially at night where the desire was to keep the window closed to reduce noise. We asked for, and were speedily given, a fan - which helped. Breakfast was ample and the staff were friendly. The rooms were kept clean and you could see a pride in the hotel. No tea/coffee maling facilities in the room, but this seems common in Italy from our small experience. Overall we found the hotel to be be very good value for money and enjoyed our 3 night stay.

Hotel Alpi was one of the highlights of our trip!! The hosts Paola and her brother were incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. Highly recommend eating at their local and authentic restaurant which is on site (delicious home-made food and Paola’s cakes were the best!). They were so genuine and helped us with all of our travel plans. The place was super clean and the location and views were impeccable!! If you are in or near Baveno, you must stay here!! We can’t wait to return!!

Das Hotel ist sehr schön und stilvoll renoviert. Schöne Seesicht mit Balkon. Auffallend sauber, auch die Umgebung. Sehr freundliches Personal. Speziell gutes Nachtessen, besser als in manchen 4* Hotels. Dies Hotel würde 4* verdienen. Das Frühstück ist für ein 3* Hotel gut und ausreichend. Wir kommen wieder und weiter so! Eine ganz kleine Empfehlung: Der Esssaal könnte man mit ganz tollen Vorhängen verschönern und gemütlicher gestalten. Dann wäre es perfekt!
