The expansive grounds (find the cute animal-shaped bushes) and breakfast buffet make this a 4-5 star hotel. But the room? 2-star. Yes, the room is large room with a large bathroom, we had a nice balcony with a lake view, and we had two bottles of free water. So far, so good (great even). But then came the card-activated refrigerator! Why? Nothing was in there! The bathroom had no conditioner or lotion, just shampoo, and a tiny package of two tissues (TWO!!). Thin kitchen towels took the place of hand towels. No wash cloths. The room had no robe, slippers, tea kettle or coffee maker, but I did find three additional tissues, half a pencil, and a few sheets on a pad of paper. Few outlets, no usb ports, and slow WiFi. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a chef, a gluten-free station, plenty of fruit/meat/cheese/yogurt; fresh juices; croissant station (fill yours with chocolate or cream!). Leave your room, and you'll have a 4 or 5-star stay! But walk into your room, and prepare to be disappointed. Adding the expected amenities of a 4- or 5-star hotel and a coffee maker would elevate the experience and not cost the hotel that much.
