Ein sehr schönes Hotel, Personal sehr freundlich. Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt dort und können das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen.

We stayed for one night as part of a Tour Group and wished we could have stayed longer. We were fortunate to be allocated an amazing corner suite with a beautiful view over Lake Maggiore and a large corner balcony. The hotel decor was grand and stunning. The breakfast was delicious with a large selection. Easy walk to nearby supermarket and restaurants. Also lake front so easy access to the water for a swim if you don't want to swim in the Hotel. One of our favourite hotels we stayed in Italy on our Tour. Totally recommended

We spent 3 nights in this lovely hotel in October 2023. The view of the lake from our balcony was breathtaking. Beds were very comfortable and great staff. We did not eat dinners at the hotel because we like to explore but breakfast was fantastic.

Beautiful location and views. Architectural Interior finishes in both the rooms and public areas are well done. Exceptional dinners’ cuisine. Staff and Service are personable and professional. A special thanks again to Raquel for her assistance, guidance and caring.

Beautifully situated grand old hotel with commanding views across the lake. Very friendly, helpful & polite staff. The rooms & communal areas have been tastefully updated with modern touches. Lovely to be able to relax on the terraces or on a sun lounger down by the lake & swim. The swimming pool is rather oddly situated & is probably not quite in keeping with the rest of the hotel. The tennis court has an amazing view but the surface needs some tlc & it costs Euros20 an hour to play. It was a little disappointing that neither access to the gym nor the health/wellness area were included in the overnight stay. Again one had to pay extra for those. It would be worthwhile ******* making that clear.

We stayed at Hotel Splendid for 2 nights while enjoying Lake Maggiore, we had wonderful weather. This Hotel is beautiful, quite grand but in a friendly way, the interiors are classic light and airy make the most of stunning views across the lake. The reception team are very welcoming and friendly and we were greeted like old friends. They very simply and efficiently organised a private water taxi for us to tour the lake and the islands with a lovely skipper who dropped us off and picked us up as we wished. It saved so much queuing on the Islands and we could follow our own timetable. It cost €100 for the both of us and was worth it. We had dinner one night on the terrace over looking the lake which was fabulous. Beautifully presented melon and their local cured ham which was sweet and delicious. The lamb was cooked to perfection and my husband’s perch fresh and tasty. The restaurant team were both efficient but fun too. A lovely evening. Our room was one of their corner suites which was roomy, light with two balconies on the 5th floor so again wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. It had everything we needed including a welcome bottle of Prosecco. The only hiccup was a small bathroom incident when I got stuck in the toilet! The sliding doors that separated it from the main bathroom got jammed and there I was. Fortunately there was a phone on the wall so I tried enough numbers to finally attract the attention of reception who responded immediately and I was released. This clearly needs looking at and was not fixed during our stay but the Hotel from management down were apologetic, understanding and could not have done more apart from take the bathroom apart which I’m sure they will do now we have left. This was a wonderful stay in a beautiful place inside a charming and well run Hotel. Swimming in the lake was sublime, warm, calm with sun beds a few steps away from the water. If you book a suite the use of the Spa is included however at this time of year the lake is perfect plus there is an outdoor pool. Thank you Hotel Splendid.

Hotel splendid was good but we encountered a few minor issues. My request for non feathers was not met until a few days into the trip even though I’d sent an email request prior to my stay. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. Hard mattress and pillows like sacks. After a polite request they did change the pillows and covers. Another downfall was ants in my room. Not just one or two but quite a few. Not great, some crawling on my bed. Food was ok, not the best I’ve had and was never piping hot, always luke warm. Breakfast was ok but again I’ve had better. The hotel staff were lovely. The hotel as a whole looks very impressive, traditional and grand. The private beach and seating area outside are great. A few loose decking pieces around the pool which could be dangerous. My son stood on a few with his bare feet. There was also a leaks in the main lobby and a musty damp smell along the corridor to our room which was often busy with people on conferences in the rooms off the corridor. Spa was nice and relaxing although a water station is needed especially after a sauna!

We had such a good stay at Splendid hotel! The location is perfect and employees were really nice to us! We would like to give a special thanks to the 2 barman of the nights who were really funny and professional! We hope coming back in a near future!

Beautiful hotel with luxury accommodations. Was supposed to stay in Lake Como but was overbooked so we stayed at Hotel Splendid. Such a amazing hotel right on Lake Maggiero. Dinners were amazing! Most pleasantly surprised!! Definitely would stay there again!
