The Trail Hotel was definitely a great find for us. We wanted a short road trip within 3 hours of our hometown and chose Bardstown. The Trail Hotel fit all of our criteria and then exceeded our expectations. The staff were so engaging and friendly from check-in to check-out. So much care and effort go into this place to make the guest experience excellent. We will definitely be back and will recommend this to all of our friends.

We stayed for the Bourbon Trail and this Hotel was great Experience was exceptional from check in to check out. The staff were so nice and accommodating. The restaurant was excellent along with the bar. Pool was closed due to mechanical issues. We understand it being opened for tow weeks they are still working out the bugs, but they are working diligently to make it happen. I would recommend this hotel to anyone

Clean, remodeled hotel, but not a resort. Pictures online are misleading. There is a gift shop, but not much else to set it apart from a regular mid-range hotel. I would stay again for location, but not what i would consider high end for a special occasion.

This hotel is incredible with a lot of potential. I think it is important to keep in mind that they just opened, and as all new businesses encounter kinks and problems. Be open minded as they work toward perfection. Overall, absolutely beautiful, understand that in areas of distilleries or wineries, you don't have "resort" type hotels (skyscrapers), you have eclectic, boutique style hotels. The decor was beautiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating.

Really neat place! I am familiar with the area and the hotel when it was a Holiday Inn motel. This hotel has historical significance to the area, and I am glad they did something special with it. It still has the motel style which I like, but they did a great job of creating an upscale experience in the guest rooms and the hotel areas. The pool/hot tub area with the outdoor bar are fantastic. The restaurant is beautiful. I ate dinner and breakfast there. the food was very good.

This hotel is so beautiful and well done. The pool and hot tub were fantastic. The bed is super cozy, staff were super nice and for a newly opened hotel they are really knocking it out of the park. It is like a fancy resort and the rooms are just beautiful. We had the best time. Bourbon distilleries are all very close. Prime location.
