Available year-round, this home is built on the site of the carriage house for one of the original mansions dating back to the town's emergence as a vacation spot in the 1800's when the Vanderbilts and other notable magnates first started visiting. Boasting a private deck and outdoor seating with a firepit, this two-story Cape Cod style home connects to the Shore Path making for an easy stroll to restaurants and shopping in town.The interior features a living room with a vaulted ceiling that opens to the second story. A master bedroom with a king bed and den with sofa bed are on the ground floor while two more bedrooms are upstairs. The ground floor bedroom features an en suite bath with a large soaking tub and stall shower. A second, full bath is shared between the den and the rest of the household. The upstairs master bedroom also features an en suite bath. A fourth, full bathroom is also located upstairs.The kitchen is fully stocked for home cooking and meals that can be enjoyed either at the six-seater dining tables inside or out on the deck. The living room offers a cozy place to unwind and gather for family movie nights on the large, smart TV.In the evening, gather around the firepit, listen to the pine trees sway in the breeze and watch as the stars come out.This home is available for stays up to 14 nights maximum. A stay 15 nights and over requires prior written consent from the Host. There are many spaces to spread around the house- a deck on the first floor, balcony, a good size back yard (for Bar Harbor standard as space is a huge issue) with fire pit area. The backyard is right next to the town athletic field. The places aforementioned are perfect for lounging anytime during the day or evenings or for conversations/downtime between your adventures.There is an outdoor propane BBQ grill for your cooking delight. There are three large garbage disposal bins- two for regular trash and the third one for recyclable cans and bottles.Enjoy the two smart TV's located in the two master bedrooms.The dining area offers a dining table with seating for 4 and 2 from the peninsula granite kitchen counter top.The kitchen has a granite counter top, and is equipped to cook a full basic meal. We also provide lobster pot and crackers.The house is four seasons with centralized heating system using electric baseboard heater and four heat pumps which provides heating in the winter and cooling in the summer. We provide freshly laundered beddings, linens, and towels. We have a small office table and chair for remote working.The outdoor patio furniture will not be available from November to April. Located off of Bridge Street on a private way, the house is a three minute walk to the harbor, shops and restaurants. I installed a new heat/AC unit in May 2023 so you can keep the window closed at night if you prefer.It also includes a small desk with a 34-inch Apple XDR (HDR) Display, keyboard, and left and right-handed mice as well as an OWC Thunderbolt Pro charging and media station for XD, CFAST, and CF Express cards. I also provide a new B/W laser printer (paper and backup cartridges included) as well as a quality portable Epson document scanner. The internet connection is 350+mbps and is highly reliable. I leverage the best available modem/routers/WIFI from Nighthawk. I have a brand new Herman Miller Aeron chair with a nice glass floor mat.The two new eBikes are very easy to ride and have superb hydraulic brakes too. I use them to access distant locations as well as largely inaccessible carriage roads built by the Duponts and Rockefellers in the 1920s. This is the only property in Bar Harbor to include eBikes with the property rental! The bikes are engineered so that you can allow the bike to assist you while peddling as much or as little as you desire. I have high quality helmets available for your use. Safety first! Renovated in August of 2021 this charming apartment has 2 good sized bedrooms, a queen bed in one, and a king in the other. A family room with seating for 6 and Kitchen/Dining area with fridge, dishwasher, range and microwave. The bathroom has a new glass door shower and a large washer/dryer. All the floors have been recently redone, the hall, kitchen and living room have refinished wood floors, the bathroom and bedrooms have wood look vinyl floors.The apartment entrance is in the back of a storefront location and across from 4 townhouses. So even though you are in the center of town it has a residential feel. Walk out on to Cottage Street and get fresh baked goods next store or dine in one of the popular restaurants across the street. You can take a short walk up Cottage Street and have breakfast at the famous Jordan's Restaurant, known for their Blueberry pancakes!Head down Cottage Street to visit the many shops and a little further down to reach Agamont Park and the town pier. Go up one of the side streets and reach more stores and restaurants including one of our favorites, Cafe This Way, off of Mt Desert Street. Heading down Mt Desert is the Village Green in the center of town where the summer concerts are performed.
