The William Fell Baltimore, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

We booked this historic Inn of the Ascend collection (which we usually love). We arrived at Fells Point after a drive through a horrible rainstorm after dark. GPS said we had arrived; the website showed a lovely white awning emblazoned with the name of the hotel - but we drove the street twice, called the front desk, then had to ask another place with valet parking which directed us to the building. The signage had been removed. The sign directing to an accessible entrance was only visible after climbing the stairs, a barely visible sign. The lobby is covered with rolls of carpeting and construction materials, rather than the beautiful fireplace and seating groups. We arrived at our room which had been confirmed as having a fridge for medical supplies, to find no fridge. There was a desk but no chair anywhere in the room. The staff did find us a chair, and the fridge has been promised for6 am. We will see… The shelves of nautical decor were empty. We were told a rebrand is happening…a heads up would have been nice. Rooms with accesible facilities were pictured but not available. Hopefully the new brand will match the website to the actual product.

Stayed here for one night. This hotel is in serious need of renovation and update STAT. The walls have cracks, the rugs are old, machines do not work. I have never seen thermostats this old (non-digital). We were in the king 2-level suite room, which should be more luxurious. We asked for champagne, which they brought to the room as promised. The fireplace in the room did not work, and we asked for someone to come fix it. No one ever did. The bathroom seemed to be upgraded but everything else was old-time. It is well-located and that might be the only positive thing going for it. Would not choose to stay here again.

Awful experience. This place has seen better days. Very run down. Furniture out of Goodwill. Worst night sleep in a long time. Blaring music outside can last until 2am according to the desk person. The pillows are absolutely horrible. Breakfast is a joke. Please don’t stay here unless your plans call for staying up all night.

This is a charming and well-located hotel with nice front desk staff. Until I saw rodents (!) in both the breakfast area and my room, I would have given it 5 stars. But rodents are a real turn-off! The front staff was sympathetic, but I never heard from management until I reached out.

Not accessible!! Multiple non-standard steps, both outside and inside the hotel. Parking 2 blocks away. Poor customer service. "Not my fault" was 3 desk clerks response to issues I raised, including no TP in room. Website info wrong re: breakfast location. No mention that room cleaning is only on request. Room was left unlocked and open following cleaning, when I did request it.

My husband and I stayed here before and after surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. The bed in the first room we were given had broken springs and a door to an alley right outside our room stayed open all night. We asked to change rooms for the 2nd night and at least the beds were better. (Front desk staff were excellent; did their best to help us make this work). The following were true for both rooms: Filthy stained desk chair and dirty armchairs. Filthy floor No mirror except in bathroom. One small shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion for two people. 1/2 roll toilet paper with no extra rolls. No hooks in bathroom or shelf in shower stall. Had to prop everything up on the edge of the sink. Breakfast consisted of two loaves of store-bought bread and some warn juice. No protein source, such as yogurt. Very different from than online description
