A sublime 5 star experience from the moment I walked in the front door through to check-out. I stayed in the Lonarch Suite, which comprises a spacious ground floor bedroom with sitting area and expansive bathroom complete with walk in double rainfall shower. I dined with a colleague at the in house restaurant “Babae”, an experience words cannot do justice! A combination of beautiful locally sourced food (served over multiple courses), theatre (the kitchen is in the dining room) and curated service makes for a memorable night. This hotel is an absolute must for anyone visiting Ballarat - it’s worth the trip simply for this stunning hotel. I will be back very soon!

Classy comfortable and luxurious. Hosts David and Martin are so welcoming and go above and beyond in making you feel welcomed, and well catered for. Stunning period residence with gorgeous luxury and tasteful decore and furnishings. Every little detail is well thought out and executed. Simply superb!

Not only is Hotel Vera a wonderful place to stay but their customer service is first class. Zarrah suggested and even booked restaurants for my partner & I and suggested places to visit in Ballarat for our two night stay. Loved the art work in the hotel too.

This is truly a beautiful and wonderful boutique hotel hosted by the very generous and engaging David and Martin. Every small detail has been considered and executed to perfection. Incredible hosts and a wonderful story this hotel has everything you imagine.. luxurious sheets, fluffy pillows, high end bath products, great towels, excellent location with a beautiful light breakfast included. Super clean and with spectacular art, furniture and local ceramics.. we wished we had stayed longer to enjoy the atmosphere and the stunning Babae restaurant.. we will definitely be back Thank you for a brilliant stay

Can’t recommend this hotel highly enough - beautiful artwork and ceramics throughout. Loved the history of the building and care taken to preserve it. The owners were accommodating and shared some amazing recommendations in/around Ballarat.

Wow..!! What a beautiful establishment. From the time we walked in and were greeted by Martin we felt so special. We were ushered to the beautiful sitting room where he spent plenty of time getting to know us and telling us all about Vera. Our room was next level. I wanted a ground floor with walk in shower, so I chose the Lonarch Suite. ( it's dog friendly, even tho we didn't have a dog). Everything in the suite is pure luxury. The bed is sooo comfortable. We had breakfast included, which was taken in the dining room. Lovely fruit,granola,yoghurt and local pastries to die for.Best coffee too. Thank you David and Martin. We will be back. All the best with the re opening of your restaurant. John & Wendy

Absolutely outstanding property

Amazing hosts, stunning hotel with some of the nicest rooms I’ve ever stayed in! Very comfy beds, quiet area & amazing shower. The bath products smell amazing as does the whole hotel, we can’t wait to return and try the soon to be opened restaurant!
