Villa Shantiasa Bali

We booked for 7 nights and ended up leaving after 3 nights. I have been visiting Bali for 46 years and never before have I experienced the lack of service, and indeed disdain that was evident from the staff. Everything was below par - e.g one water glass in a room for two. On requesting a second bottle of water for our room we were told that they didn't have enough bottles to provide us with another - despite the fact that the never had 100% occupancy. I accidentally stained one of their hand towels by using it when eating rambutan - I was told off as though I was a naughty child. The final straw was being given a plastic sheet as the top sheet on our bed 🙄 and when we complained this morning we were told it was the only clean sheet available. We were told they had used that sheet for 12 years (it looked like it too) and nobody had ever complained before. We were actually laughed at when we complained. Customer service and care in Bali is usually excellent. This was so very poor. We were told that the business is currently up for sale which may explain the lack of investment in sheets etc. but that doesn't explain the attitude of staff.

We stayed at Sidemen mainly to cover East Bali. Villa Shantiasa is a beautiful property with only 4 rooms - 2 on each floor. We got one of the rooms on the top floor and the views were fantastic. There's a small separation between the two rooms on either floor giving each some privacy. The room is very spacious and the bathroom is huge as well. There's a pool which our son really liked. The review would be incomplete without a mention of the staff who were extremely helpful, humble and efficient. Big shout out to Komang who ensured our stay was without any issues. There was a confusion which could have delayed our East Bali trip as well as our trip next day after check-out but he ensured we get to our destinations with quick fixes to the situation. We were also exempted from any charge on the breakfast we ordered for our son (we were charged on other places in our trip which is only fair) without any request from our side. These personal touches really made us wish we were here longer.

belle villa possédant 4 chambres avec vue sur les rizières et piscine de la villa , cet endroit possède une salle à manger extèrieur pour le petit déjeuner ou diner. toutefois je ne recommande pas le diner car ce ne sont pas des cuisiniers mais font leur possible afin d'offrir un complément de service aux clients; à proximié vous avez d'excellents Warrung pour un prix dérisoire. L'endroit est très bien entretenu literie confortable ,chambre très propre , piscine agréable .
