보르고 디 치아울라(Hotel Borgo di Ciaula)

I just returned from three weeks in Sicily, having spent the first five days at Borgo di Ciaula. The location is great for exploring Santa Flavia and Sant'Elia. The staff is very welcoming, friendly and professional. They took care of me as though I were a member of their family. Grazie mille to Carlo, Daniella, Giulia, Santino and Luciana! Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable and memorable. --Mario

The property was nice and the staff were great. From Carlo to Leandro to Santino, etc. The food at the La Strummela restaurant in the hotel was excellent- highly recommend. Food and wine selection was diverse. However, there’s no elevator and unbeknownst, we were on the 4th floor. Staff eagerly helped with luggage. The immediate outside though is dirty and smelled of pee. Cute little beaches west of hotel and some water activities. Beachfront promenade was closed due to construction. We hope to visit again once all that is cleaned up.

The staff seemed a bit rude. Upon checkout, the elevators were occupied with kitchen equipment (we kept trying them but to no avail), which meant we had to lug heavy luggage down narrow, steep stairs. The breakfast was average.

I cannot say enough about this marvelous boutique hotel. It was very intimate in that you get to really know all the employees and it makes it very personal. They were beyond gracious and kind and attentive even to the smallest of details. I look forward to visiting them again one day

What a quaint little hotel on the edge of the beauty that is the beach town of Santa Flavia. We stayed in the top suite of the building and enjoyed the amazing private terrace and spectacular rooftop panoramic views of the surrounding sea and mountains. Incredible. The restaurant was something to behold, with their 5-course menus that will absolutely leave you enthralled (and full). A must see/stay!!

A very special hotel and restaurant run by people who care. Like many places in sicily don't expect the plush frontage it's what behind that counts and the Hotel Borgo di cialu delivers. A great menu of local produce in lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The food is superbe, the location is convenient, the garden is relaxing, Antonella is super friendly... Pizza are delicious, it is hard to chose Cocktails fabulous. I had a pina colada better than in Hawaii for 5 euros !!! Just go !

Ottima posizione, quando la piazza di fronte sarà libera dal cantiere, il panorama del quale si potrà godere è fantastico. Peccato per le evidenti carenze della struttura, per esempio la collocazione della cucina, che riempie con i suoi odori i corridoi e a volte anche le camere. Poi, reagire agli imprevisti che la gestione di una simile struttura impongono, non è da tutti, ed uno dei due titolari, su questo argomento, deve crescere, e di tanto. Mi resta da dire solo peccato, proprio perché le carenze si conoscono e la proprietà ne è consapevole, ma a volte se ne dimentica, e basterebbe solo scusarsi con chi le fa notare.

Pessimo anzi di più Ci hanno proposto la suite ma non hanno la minima idea di cosa sia una suite Sembrava di dormire in una cucina perché la terrazza da loro decantata altro non è che lo scarico della canna fumaria della cucina. Non ci hanno pulito la stanza dietro motivazioni esilaranti (non avevano la chiave della stanza😂😂) e dopo le nostre rimostranze anziché scusarsi e risolvere ci hanno invitato a pagare e lasciare l’albergo. Non hanno idea cosa significhi fare turismo ed e’ un vero peccato perché il luogo è davvero carino. Purtroppo gestori così non fanno decollare il turismo in Sicilia, anzi. A mai più arrivederci
