I stayed at the Kimpton Shane Hotel in Atlanta from June 4 to 5, 2025. The overall environment of the hotel was excellent — the room was clean, the design was modern and tasteful, and the surroundings were pleasant. It was a comfortable and visually appealing place to stay.
However, the breakfast service was extremely disappointing and affected our overall impression. I was staying with my sister and niece, and we had breakfast at the hotel restaurant. One of the female servers had a very poor attitude. She was rude during the ordering process, and her tone was cold and dismissive. The teapot she brought us was chipped, and when we pointed it out, she showed no apology or concern.
What made it worse was when she cleared the plates very loudly. We politely asked if she could be a bit quieter, and her response was, “It’s just a plate,” in a very unfriendly tone.
While the hotel itself met our expectations, the restaurant service did not reflect the quality or hospitality we expected from a Kimpton property. I hope the management will take this feedback seriously and improve staff training, especially in customer service and professionalism.
