Our beach front bungalow was idyllic and the perfect location on Rarotonga. Just steps from the beach with a private outdoor shower and kitchen in a very quiet area. Simone, Jane and crew were so welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Great restaurants a short beach walk away and perfect Cook Island sunsets made for a very memorable experience.

Our week at Magic Reef was awesome! The villas are beautiful and modern. There was a lovely platter in the fridge for our first breakfast along with fresh orange juice, milk, and water. The outdoor bathroom is wonderful, the bed very comfortable, great WiFi, tv with Netflix, comfy sofa, and the view from the deck lounges of all villas is spectacular. Simonne was so welcoming and helpful and we loved the availability of electric cars to hire which came in very handy on a couple of rainy days. We had access to a laundry, pool and great seating and lounges beach front. The grounds of the Magic Reef are immaculate. Loved Magic Reef!

We booked Magic Reef Bungalows for Friends and Family for our May 2025 wedding. This place is amazing. Great location, amazing bungalows. Simmone and the team are great hosts and we would highly recommend Magic Reef for your next place to stay while visiting Rarotonga!

From the minute our group of eight arrived at the Magic Reef, we knew we had booked the right place! Simone was very welcoming and showed us our rooms which exceeded our expectations. The villas are beautiful, clean, and modern. There was a lovely platter in the fridge for us, along with fresh orange juice, milk, and water. The outdoor bathroom is unique and very awesome, the bed is very comfortable, and the view from all villas is spectacular. The grounds of the Magic Reef are immaculate. You really do feel very special staying there. We will all be back very soon!

This was our third trip to Magic Reef, and each gets better. We stay in one of the ocean front bungalows, and it’s perfect for our stay. (all of the bungalows have beautiful water views and easy access). Comfortable, well-appointed, clean, and the outdoor shower is delightful. It’s also nice to have a pool as an alternative to the ocean. Having electric car rental onsite is a nice convenience for exploring the island. Location is convenient with a handful of restaurants within walking distance. Thank you to Jayne, Lawrence, Simone, Tallulah, Captain the cat and the rest of the friendly staff for being such welcoming hosts, Can’t wait to return!

We stayed for a week in May at Magic Reef Bungalows. Although the weather didn't cooperate (it rained most days) we still had a magnificent time. The grounds were beautiful and immaculately kept and the bungalow was the perfect size for a couple. Really enjoyed the outdoor shower. We had the partial ocean view closest to the pool. The tropical fruit plate, homemade muesli, and freshly local ground coffee for our french press was perfect for a light breakfast. Also, it was very convenient to rent an electric vehicle on-site. It was lovely to walk along the beach (remember to wear your reef shoes as the beach is quite rocky with coral). When the weather was nice you could easily walk on the beach to a handful of restaurants/bars 3-10 minute walk away. Lawrence, Simone and Jayne were very knowledgeable and helpful. FYI, you can get around the island using the bus, car rental or bike/scooter rental. There were many snorkeling beaches 5-25 minute drive. If you want a resort that is slower paced without the loud bars on site, Magic Reef Bungalows is the place for you.
