Excellent rooms with all the amenities you would expect of a Parador and a remarkable bathroom. The breakfast buffet id excellent with a wide range of breads, meats, fruits of cheeses. Also eggs, &c cooked to order. Dinner was very disappointing. We have been coming here for 20 years, but dinner in the restaurant has deteriorated considerably in recent years.

This is an interesting historic house in a lovely area but very short staffed. Dinner service was slow and a bit disorganised breakfast was somewhat chaotic. We were on our way south so it was ideal for us.

As returning guests at this Parador, we once again enjoyed our stay at this wonderful place. From our arrival to departure everything went on well. It is always a pleasure for friendly staff to welcome us back and engage in some conversation like "hello how are you? welcome back, how was your trip?". Our room was comfortably spacious and warm. We love this Parador's location and adorable landscape view with snow capped mountain tops, Vitoria just a stone away. Are we going to return to this Parador any sooner? You bet we are.

Booked a superior room. No hot water. When we drew this to the attention of the reception staff on paying the bill no acknowledgement or apology. Totally indifferent. Spoilt an otherwise good experience.

An excellent stop off with lovely rooms and very nice staff. Breakfast was amazing. Very quiet room as well so I had an excellent nights sleep. Always good|

We first visited this Parador about 40 years ago, when it was still all an ancient castle converted into a hotel. I remember gloomy corridors, tiny windows in thick walls, and looking down over a plain. Oh, and excellent food! So we were interested to see, this autumn, what it was now like. In the ensuing years they have built a new, modern, wing, in which we were housed this time. Bigger windows (floor to ceiling to get the views), and all mod cons, although not that mod – the bathroom was a little tired – but very comfortable bed with good quality bedlinen. The food was still excellent. Not your normal Parador food in some respects – that can get a little boring and repetitive – but foie gras, mozzarella salad, and other super offerings. Some of the best food that we ate in the 5 weeks in Spain. Another plus is that the Parador was easy to find, there being few buildings in the village, and certainly none other this size!

A really good experience. Loads of history, and some very informative posters. Loved the before and after photos. Bedroom and bathroom were really good and extremely comfortable. Everywhere was immaculately clean. Check in and out was very efficient, friendly and quick.

well located for those using Bilbao ferry port. Standards maintained despite competitive pricing which is remarkable given quality of accommodation. Paradores set a standard for quality for others to follow.
