When we booked the hotel , we booked a room with a balcony. We did have a small balcony with a wonderful view, but unfortunately we had to share it with a family of four in the next room. So if you were lying on your bed and the family were on the balcony they could see straight in, as the door to the balcony was a full glass door. As I said the balcony was small, there were three seats out there, two were partially broken, so for the life of me, I don't know where all six of us were supposed to sit !! When I asked at reception regarding the issue, and why it wasn't mentioned at the booking stage, I got a vague answer. From then on reception just ignored us anytime we went in or out of the hotel. I have to say the bar staff were extremely pleasant and kind, but the bar itself is more like a shabby cafe. The timber floor is really shook and could do with a good cleaning and varnish. The same up in the upper lounge area, shabby with fogged over windows, and plastic plants that have turned almost a blueish colour. The hotel has the potential of being out of this world, but please put some effort or imagination into it, and please state on your website regarding shared balconies.
