Hotel Ville d'Hiver

All in all, a clear reccomendation. This is a cosy place in a transformed water-trea**ent facility. The different building are embedded in a kind of jungle. Everywhere plants and birds. The hotel is situation in the middle of the winter town, with really nice buildings arround. The beach is in 10' walking distance. The rooms are fully equipped and well maintained. The staff is friendly. Due to the jungle-like environment the gest needs to be prepared against moskitos if he intends to stay on the balkonies or otherwise outside. One remark: In our room the AC-unit was placed on the floor-level in a niche of the room behind a desk. This is a quite unusal locationfor an AC-unit !! As a consequence, I encounered a flow of cold air right into my face whe laying in my bed. But by placing our travel bags in front of the AC, the problem could be (partly) resolved. Summary: despites the very minor deficiencies, this is a full reccomendation from our side.

Beautiful hotel with oodles of charm . Our room with a balcony and chairs was a delight . The breakfast is elegantly prepared and dinner was some of the best French food I’ve ever tasted . If you want the real French experience , this hotel will delight !

Eclectic, comfy, inviting rooms with the most comfortable beds and pillows . I had a room in the hotel annex with its own private garden . Excellent attention from staff, very good restaurant with great wine selection. Easy walk to the beachfront , park and shopping areas. Could have stayed longer!

Hotel was good we were in the annex house about 150 meters away of the main building where restaurant and breakfast are served. Room volume was limited, but the a**osphere was cosy and we enjoyed our night, in addition the weather was good for this saturday get away! We went to the restaurant as well and had our breakfast. Nice dinning place, a little bit in the dark , Americans will love it!

We loved this charming hotel in the old villa quarter Ville d’Hiver. Very nice smiling personnel, we chose a superior room with balcony on the second floor. The room was very comfortable with lots of charming old style details. The balcony had two rocking-chairs where we would have a tea in the evening. We had lunch and dinner in the restaurant which were both delicious albeit on the expensive side. Everything about this hotel feels as if it has a history. We will definitely come back.

I would like to give my opinion from 0 point to 10 point. Situation: 8/10 Parking is available but limited at the hotel and location is pretty good because you can reached to the beach and commercial area by foot (5 minutes walking to the beach). Room & Amenities: 8/10 We stayed at room 9 and room type is correct, bed is comfortable, balcony is lovely toilet and bathroom are separation, so is perfect. Shower is might be complicated to shower but is perfect to have a bath. Hotel provide a boiler (You can make your own tea or coffee) but there is no fridge. Restaurant: 10/10 Bar - Restaurant & breakfast is the same area. Here is very cozy and service is good, foods is excellent (Highly recommended!!). Service & Staffs: 10/10 Good service since arrived, during stay and check-out. Merci merci. Design & Building: 10/10 Very unique local style and very charming. Overall: 9/10 Highly recommended to stay here.

JE NE RECOMMANDERAI PLUS. Un avis et un conseil sur une prestation proposée par l'hôtel La dégustation de vins avec l'œnologue. Fais il y a 2 ans à 2 un moment (d'1h30 en moyenne) agreable avec 3 bouteilles de vins sympathiques au tarif de 280€. Nous décidons de le refaire en famille pour Noël... SURPRISE!!!! 840€ pour 6 avec toujours que 3 bouteilles de vins pour 6 ( moins appréciées mais c est une histoire de goût). L'oenologue est sympa mais la prestation n'est plus au niveau du tarif : 3 bouteilles pour 6 ( valeur marchande max 90€) Vaut mieux faire chacun sa dégustation dans son coin au moins on paye 140€ 3 bouteilles avec l'explication. QUELLE DECEPTION. J'AI VRAIMENT CRU A UNE ERREUR ET NON PAS DU TOUT C ETAIT A MOI DE NEGOCIER mais je ne sais toujours pas avec qui : l'hotel ou l'oenologue ca restera une question A 840€€€€€€€. Pffff quel dommage de se faire enfler dans un établissement de ce standing. Bonnes fêtes 😭

Je ne comprend pas l’hypocrisie des commentaires qui ne connaissent pas la restauration. Des personnes se plaignent du personnel sans savoir que c’est le même depuis plus d’une décennie (Donc savent ce qu’ils doivent faire). D’autres se plaignent qu’il n’y est pas des produits qui ne sont pas sur la carte ?! Bref, le personnel est plus que sympathique et la nourriture, réfléchie d’année en année, donc très bonne ! Que ce soit sur le dressage, la qualité et le goût des aliments ! Dommage que la clientèle fidèle qui comprennent ce restaurant ne commente pas plus… Courage pour la saison d’hiver ! ;)

Une aventure insolite d’exception qui vous emporte dans une bulle d’apaisement et unique. Un accueil chaleureux, souriant,familial une chambre complètement envoûtante pour dormir ou travailler sur la terrasse au dessus des figuiers et sous des pins et cèdres où l’on peut apercevoir des écureuils et une piscine digne du livre de la jungle ou vous pourriez croiser mowgli tout en nageant avec ravissement sur les carreaux irisés brillants au soleil. Le restaurant est extrêmement accueillant et gourmand. Tout est fait pour que vous puissiez rester à l’hôtel comme à la maison dans un endroit d’exception. Merci à toute l’équipe, la directrice le bar, restaurant pour l’excellence de votre service avec le sourire! Décoration fabuleuse pour notre bien être dans ce bel établissement perdu dans les hauteurs d’ arcachon pourtant si proche du centre ville et de la plage
