Although the property is beautiful, the customer service is rather poor. I regretfully ordered an extra package & none of the amenities were there upon arrival. When reminded front desk of such, they scrambled to toss some crap in the room before the night was over. The bathroom shower smelled strongly of mildew, the sauna was closed, the indoor pool had a ton of mold on the ceiling & the breakfast was terrible. All in all, I will not be returning to this hotel.

This is a beautiful hotel, centrally located in Angra but with piss poor customer service. We contacted them ahead of time to warn them of our late check in and received no response. We arrived after midnight and called the hotel multiple times as taxis were sparse at the airport...no one answered. We arrived and received multiple comments that they hadn't expected 5 people despite the fact that this is clearly written on the reservation and the sofa beds/linens were not prepared. At 2 am we switched rooms for the clerk's Convenience as she had a crappier room with a sofa bed set up. Once we started to settle in we realized this room did not have a working lock and actually had to move all of our belongings AGAIN to another room. At Check out when asked about our experience we disclosed all of the above. They admitted the reservation included all of the information but we still were offered nothing except defensive excuses. The breakfast was below average with similarly crappy service. Will never stay here again.

There are two Hotel Zenites. Make sure you are in the correct one. The Boutique Hotel is in the centre of Angra and convenient for exploring this historic city. The rooms themselves are modern and comfortable. I did not like the lack of drawer space. I do not like to have all of my possessions in clear view of the housekeeper.

The suite had 2 floors, and the stairs were very slippery wood. Going downstairs to the toilet in the night was scary. A sign on the minibar said we would be fined 100 euros if we put food in it. We asked for an iron but couldn't get one in the room, nor was there an ironing room. We could only give items to the hotel for ironing. Coffee in the room wasn't replenished. The air con turned itself off in the night as it wasn't working properly, but no fans were available. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Only 1 drawer on both floors for storage.

All of the staff is competent, friendly and willing to help with directions, making reservations and even making you feel very welcome. The breakfast is varied, very well presented with numerous choices. There something for everyone to enjoy in a very well appointed breakfast room.

This is a lovely small hotel on as quiet street just a short walk from the town center. Although our room was near the front desk we were never disturbed. Our room had all the essentials we needed and I especially enjoyed the spacious shower with rain head feature. The generous breakfast buffet is served in a bright room which opens onto a patio in good weather. In addition there is an inviting minibar/lounge area on the street level for casual mixing. The staff was attentive, professional, and very helpful. They lent us an electrical converter & helped with meal reservations.
