Sleep quality: The beds are supercomfortable (and we are matress sensitive creatures) and lovely 2 x 90 cm wide. The room does warm up quickly if you are facing west (the riverside) - and mind you, there is no aircondition. Noise: It’s an old building so no soundproofing between rooms. The windows however are new and shut out sound effectively. Room choice: Your room is either facing east and the street (not a lot of traffic in the night – but a lot of busses from the morning). Or you are facing west with the nice garden and the river: Audibly however this is also facing a very busy section of the railway, the bus station, and the very busy road around the city, popular with motorbikes. The whole city is populated with seagulls – so if you are slightly sound sensitive, and insist on open windows, bring your earplugs. Shower: Good temperature and good pressure even on the top floor. Large bathroom, plenty of space for your gear. Breakfast: Really good selection and plenty of it – you do not have to rush down here when they open at 7 am to get your favourite items. The amount of tables however are limited – so you either share a table with other guests or wait 20 min. Parking: Terrifyingly narrow entry to a tiny parking lot that fills up quickly – few would dare experiment even entering with a rental car. So, to ensure a spot for your car – go for the public parking lot 350 meters away: Free parking from 1800 and in the weekend, otherwise super cheap. Decor: Beautiful hotel – with an art deco feel. Plenty of space in the rooms and a really beautiful little garden facing the river.
