Dirty, noisy and people smoking in the room and in the corridors of the hotel, I do not recommend it to everyone!

Nice budget hotel. You get what you pay for and the standard is pretty decent. The hotel is a bit hardt to find the first time. Comfertable beds, nice staff and for such a central placement you get your moneys worth.

Please do never go here !!!!!! I stayed for one night and left with my whole body covered in bed bugs bites which has now became serious and I need medical help to help the allergic infection from sleeping in that bed which was classes as the “luxury room” horrible experience I love Amsterdam and have been many times this is my worst ever experience they also charge 100 tax when you get there claim they refund it but haven’t received mine yet.

This place is advertising themselves as a family friendly hotel, but is nothing more than a stinking hostel! The staff, especially the manager are very rude, there is no lift so you have to carry your luggage up numerous flights of stairs to get to a room than can only be described as a prison cell, the beds are awful, so between this and the noise outside, no sleep was had. Then you have to share a dirty bathroom and toilet with other guests. I would suggest everyone avoid this place for your own sakes. They require you to leave your key with them each time you go out, risking someone going into your room and through your things. Also they take a deposit off you when you check in, which was not mentioned when booked. I had to get the police involved just to get my deposit back because as soon as you check out and hand the key back they find an excuse not to give your deposit back.

It’s a good place! It is in the more party area of town and people can be heard outside until late at night but with our sound machine and supplied fan, we were fine. And if you’re younger and want the party, it’s a good spot. Front office was good with keeping any partiers out of the hotel they kept your key when you left and checked you in when you came back. They also had you buzz in when you went out. Our windows had no screens or anything and by morning, our room was filled with mosquitoes. Overall, beds and pillows were clean and comfortable. And I wouldn’t pass on this place if I was to come again…

I was hesitating between giving the hotel 2 or 3 stars. Location is great, right next to the Rembrandtplein. The hotel is an older house, not suited for disabled people as you have to like stairs (my room was on the fifth floor). Rooms are small and furniture is quite run-down, but ok I can live with that. However, the tiny bathroom really needs a make-over: the bathroom window was rotten and window sill as well as the shower curtain had a lot of mold (see picture), which is not acceptable for a hotel. Also, the shampoo bottle in the shower was empty (shouldn't be that hard to check and refill when needed), and the TV remote did not work (and has a missing back cover). Fortunately, I was able to sleep with open windows as my room was overlooking the back side of the building, i.e. the quiet side. Breakfast is quite minimal (just some bread, muffins, yoghurt, hard boiled eggs, juice, coffee, tea and some cheese and jam) but enough to get the day started. Staff is available 24 hours per day. It's ok to spend 1 night as a business traveler but based on my room, I wouldn't take my wife and kids there for a city trip. If the bathroom had been taken care of, I would have given it more stars but cleanliness is important to me and the bathroom did not invite to take a shower there.
