They are accommodating, gave full direction with maps and provide taxi service when we requested. They always had complimentary hot tea and a varied assortment of coffee’s/ lattes/ cappuccinos at all hours of the day and night. They also of course had a variety of cold beverages from water to beer. Very secure building we were there during king’s day “Amsterdams largest block party “ was informed of the drunkenness that a cures as the day progresses and that the doors will be locked after a certain time but if we was out to knock and show them the key they would let us in.. Clean and neat rooms maintained with efficiency and polite staff. Would definitely stay again, and recommend to friends,. Conveniently located in Amsterdam to all the museums and sights.

Alp hotel may not be the biggest hotel in Amsterdam, but it might be the nicest. Staff members were always present, nice and helpful. They were also friendly. We had an overall good customer experience. I would surely recommend Alp hotel to anybody on a budget

I loved my trip to Amsterdam, and the Alp Hotel was ideal for my 2-night stay. The staff was super friendly, and tea and coffee were available to prepare in the room. The employees helped me with my luggage and with finding the places I needed to go (I had tickets for a lecture, and time was a bit tight). The room was nice and spacious (I had a double room for one person), comfortable, and clean. Even though the equipment wasn't extremely new, the atmosphere was great! The location of the hotel is ideal, too: In the center with beautiful cafés, shops, traditional houses, theatres, and a lot of sights within walking distance. Last but not least the price was great, too, and I can wholeheartedly recommend the Alp Hotel! Two small practical things to consider: The hotel doesn't currently offer breakfast, but there's a lovely Bagel Shop nearby and many cafes within reach, so no problem. And the stairs are really narrow. If you're in doubt, ask the receptionists for help, and everything will be fine.

The hotel was beautiful, in a perfect location for travelling to the centre of town. There is a lovely breakfast spot very close called “the breakfast club”. The hotel offers converter plugs for a deposit of £5 each. They also offered free hot drinks and a selection of cold drinks for cheap pricing, the staff were very accommodating and very informative. The balcony is a perfect spot to smoke and people watch. The only problem was the bathroom as the bath was quite complicated and we were unable to figure out how to change the temperature/work the jets in the bath so I would recommend asking the staff about that before you go into your room.

The staff was very helpful, providing recommendations of places to visit, shop, and eat. The front desk always helped us with any questions we had and even provided recommendations for next destination in Belgium. The room was clean and ft 3 people. We would stay here again!

This was a super lovely stay with a nice balcony and a jacuzzi in the room. The hotel room was super clean and the staff was kind and helpful. Everything went smooth and nicely, and the location is super good. It's not that far away from centre - I just walked here.

Such a Lovely hotel, small but perfectly adequate and very clean. Staff were very helpful, couldn’t do enough for you. Most major attractions are within 20/30 minute walk. There are tram stops close by. A lot of construction work nearby but didn’t affect our sleep. We were too tired after a days walking 😉

Myself and my 14yr old son stayed here for two nights. Hotel is basic but clean and very cheap. There have been several reviews about the stairs, this is an old building and the stairs are not for the faint hearted. We opted for a garden view room that was on the top floor. Nice view and quiet room. Hotel is slightly outside the City Centre but the tram stop is right outside the front door and only a couple of stops to Dam Square. Overall a good hotel in a good location. Staff are friendly and helpful. Just beware of the stairs!
