On Arrival it looked very very nice . Reception staff very polite . Was given instructions re Breakfast and our room location . Arriving at the room all looked pleasant . However . This is classed as a 5 Star hotel . I’m sorry but the 5 Star Hotels I’ve stayed in are far superior to this . Beds were clean . Bathroom trim on shower door not looking good /discoloured. The actual room had so many marks on the walls .. I’m guessing from suitcases running on them . One bedside light had a big hole around the ceiling fitting . Also the tea and coffee/sugar was in a zip seal bag !!! I still can’t get my head around that . Not nicely presented at all and they are supposedly supporting a plastic free environment. Eco etc ! At the end of the day our flight was delayed so much our plan to enjoy this hotel further did not happen . The breakfast was fine .. multiple choices . Just very surprised at the room for a 5 Star Hotel.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food on the buffet was very good. Alex, Dimitris, and Odispas provided exceptional service in the bar and lounge area. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel was very clean. My wife and I enjoyed the experience.

The hotel personnel were outstanding, professional and extremely welcoming. We will be back soon for another stay now that we have the grand’s experience.

Location just outside city. Not really walkable to city. Clean comfortable rooms. Most with balcony. Breakfast and dinner buffets. Many choices which were good. Friendly staff. Wish the location was in a better neighborhood. Would suggest Uber or taxi to town.

The hotel was great but it was really the outstanding service by the bar/restaurant staff that did it for me. Dimitri, Mary, Maria, Jo and George were incredible. They did a phenomenal job explaining the local hotspots, restaurants and culture of Thessaloniki. For the week I was here, they went above and beyond again and again to make sure I had an AMAZING experience. I’m not sure what they are getting paid but they all deserve a BIG RAISE for this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ experience!!! Highly recommend!!!

Mary, Maria, Dimitri, George are all fantastic to work with. The hotel was beautiful. However, the restaurant/bar was a true highlight. Great connections and memories were made this trip. Thank you all!

Where to start. I am travelling around Europe staying at 5 star hotels down to apar**ents, depending what country I end up in and this is the worst experience to date. Hotel is in no way 5 stars. The rooms are dated, my room had a small tv which was a relic of years gone by. The rooms remind me of what people thought were 5 stars in the 90’s. The bath/shower is surrounded by glass windows with a door that opens and the shampoo etc is at shower level, so when you’re in the bath you can’t reach the shampoo etc. Move it down to bath level I hear you say? Well you can’t, the shampoo, shower gel etc are locked into the holder - 5 stars? When I arrive at any hotel the first thing I do is put a Do Not Disturb sign on the handle. If I need towels I’ll ask, but I like my own sanctuary of space and privacy. I went out on a hike one day and came back and my the sign was gone and my room had been reset. It might sound like a small deal but I’ve never had anyone just ignore it before and do the room anyway. I complained to reception and was told it won’t happen again (i check out the day after ) In my room was a can of coke I bought from the shops, housekeeping conveniently informed reception to charge me for it, from the mini bar. Incompetence. I visited the bar once, the bartender, having only myself and one other guest, took so long to serve me, preferring to chat to waiting staff who were getting drinks for the restaurant? Breakfast was fine. Nothing special but it was ok. No staff spoke to me at any point, I don’t drink tea or coffee but I wasn’t offered any either lol The hotel faces a very busy street, and boy I think it’s illegal for cars to pass by without beeping. And there’s a literal train track next to hotel that has trains passing and they cross the road so you guessed it, massive train horn to drown out the car horns. It’s about an hours walk (I’m a fast walker) to the port (which is excellent and I’d recommend) Free transfer to town? Shuttle? Or whatever it is. Ended up with me in a taxi and him asking me where to go? I dunno. Then at the end asking if I’m paying him? Utter shambles. The girl on checkout seemed genuinely disappointed with what had happened. A small saving grace perhaps. She removed the coke I purchased from the shops. Thanks for that. I would recommend pitching a tent in the middle of the street over staying at this imcompentent, imaginary 5 star hotel.

The Grand Hotel Palace uses fresh and great-quality products sourced locally. Moving on to the accommodation options, the Grand Hotel Palace features 248 elegant rooms, including 9 suites, characterized by a modern or classic style of great warmth and a welcoming a**osphere. I personally spent my 2-day stay in Thessaloniki in the Classic Suite. This particular suite is divided into two generously sized rooms; a spacious living-sitting area, and an elegant bedroom with a king-sized bed. What’s worth mentioning is that the suite enjoys its own ambiance, and is decorated with eclectic furniture, and other vintage pieces. The use of a palette of calming neutral tones is carefully selected to deliver the elegance and laid-back sophistication that encourages guests to settle in and stay for a while! The Classic Suite features a wide balcony overlooking the hotel’s inner courtyard, two separate bathrooms (both with a bathtub), and two closets. Guests are offered bathrobes, slippers, and skincare bathroom amenities. Overall, the suite offers all the comforts you would expect, with a work desk, a spacious sofa, armchairs, a dining table, and a mini-bar with coffee and tea facilities.
