If you want an authentic Kenyan Massai bush experience, then this is the place to go. Yes, basic, but that’s what authentic means. Stone floor cottages but towels and bedding were white as snow. Staff were just wonderful. Kwenya, our guide, took us on walkabout in the bush where we saw giraffes just walking by, as well as a visit to the local school to meet the school children, as well as a visit to the local village to talk to the villagers. He showed us so many wonderful things and spoke of his experiences such as the time he killed a lion that was killing his cows. . A never to be repeated experience. Would love to go back

Wish We Stayed Longer My family of 4 (hubby, my mom, our son and me) spent 1 glorious night at this hidden gem on our way to Amboseli. It was one of the best places we stayed on our 12-night Kenya safari. Even our private guide who has stayed at numerous high end accommodations said this was one of his favorite as it's authentic and intimate. From the onset, we were "assigned" an impressive Maasai warrior, Quenya. He took care of our every need .. luggage, room, dining, etc. But, the most amazing thing Quenya shared was his deep knowledge of the Maasai, his love of the land and his ability to spot wildlife that abounds in this amazing place. On our first evening, Quenya took us on a 2+ hour walking safari. We saw sights, sounds and animals that we saw nowhere else in Kenya..up close and personal! Note we visited Amboseli, Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Hell's Gate and Lake Nakuru, so that's saying something! Quenya is knowledgeable, funny and engaging. He knew every tree and animal. He taught us things you'll never see nor learn on a driving safari. And, in the morning, he did it again! Those walks, alone, were worth every penny (and are included in your stay) .. and I haven't even gotten to the food! Note that we stayed in 5-star hotels, camps and lodges for most of our trip, and we all agreed that Maasai Simba had the best food, hands down. It was all tasty, plentiful, with ample salad, soup, meats, veggies, fruit and bread to go around. So much flavor and variety! We had spaghetti and meat sauce when we arrived for lunch, and I am still wishing I got the recipe. The accommodations were smaller and more "rustic" in nature, but they're interesting and full of character. Everything was CLEAN. We never saw a single critter anywhere. Mosquito nets were in pristine condition, not that we even needed them. For some reason, we never saw a mosquito anywhere in the camp, and I'm a HUGE mosquito magnet. The beds were super comfy, and they gave us a fan in each room, which kept us plenty cool. As for the camp, there were always cute velvet monkeys prancing about. We enjoyed a game of darts, strolling about the premises and an evening bonfire with Quenya regaling us with awesome stories about his life. So fun and memorable. My only regret was not staying longer. So, thank you to the amazing staff of Maasai Simba. You won't be forgotten.

This is the worst place to stay and I would never recommend it too anyone. You get zero value for your money.The rooms were very terrible to say the least,torn bedsheets, smelly rooms,full of mosquitos and the toilet was not functional.. Worst experience ever.

We had a wonderful, unique experience at Maasai Simba Camp. The food was good, the tours were great, the people friendly and helpful. We were able to tour the local school and village which is an experience not to be missed. And we had lots of laughs to top it all off!

Our group of 4 stayed at the Maasai Simba Camp for 2 nights and we had an amazing time!! Everything from the freshly cooked meals to the camp grounds exceeded our expectations. The rooms were great with comfortable beds and a bathroom and shower but we barely spent any time in our rooms because there were so many activities to do on and off the grounds. There was a pool, games, fire pit, sitting areas, and playground all at the camp. The safari walks were a highlight for us - it was absolutely magical to be walking among giraffes and countless other animals. Our guide, Kwenia, was extremely knowledgeable and welcoming, as were all the staff at the camp. The safari in Amboseli was also an amazing adventure! Our guide, Tom, took us to all the best spots in the park and we saw too many animals and birds to count! It was truly surreal to watch elephants cross the road just in front of the vehicle! Everything down to the small details were taken care of for us and we felt right at home at Maasai Simba Camp. We highly recommend this camp for anyone looking for an elevated and unique safari experience! Thanks to all the staff at Simba Camp for the amazing few days!!

I stayed in this place in Dec 2022 to Jan 2023. It is a great place, giving very good value for money. Perfect for those who like bush-like experience, offering tents and rooms. Remember to request to have dinner in the bush!
