Très agréable. Petit déjeuner buffet, copieux et varié. Piscine, bain remous, et autre c'est appréciable. Nous y retournerons.

We booked two nights via email (direct) and paid a 30% deposit as requested. Our plans changed and we requested the two nights be split (Tuesday and Saturday) which was accepted. We checked in on the Tuesday and paid the remaining balance for that stay. Our room had a strong offensive smell similar to fish but we were only stopping for one night so just put up with it. When returning on the Saturday we (family of 5) had just drove from Switzerland to Le Cap d'Opale - 9 hour road trip and when we arrived at 18.30 were told our room was not ready. This was frustrating as check-in was a few hours before and the room should have been ready, when I challenged this the reception staff sighed. They then told me (using a translation app, as nobody speaks English) that we do not have a reservation as we had not paid - we had paid the requested 30% deposit. I asked to pay for accommodation and was told they don't have any. This left us with no accommodation at 19.30 and 3 hungry and tired children. There was zero apology, compassion, or assistance to find alternative accommodation - they couldn't have cared less! We ended up having to pay for a ferry crossing that evening and didn't get home until 3am after driving from Switzerland - less than ideal. I followed up with an email of complaint before posting this review, I always believe in giving a company the opportunity to rectify their errors, and the same lack of ownership and compassion was evident - blaming me, saying that I had not paid, despite all the evidence that I paid the 30% requested deposit. And as such leaving me with no choice but to share this experience publicly so that others do not experience the same as we did. Avoid this rundown and extremely poorly run establishment at all costs - even more so if you are a family with young children.

The food was not good at all but the rooms were clean and big but my friends room had beg1 bugs in it the ho1t1el has a good view the hotel rooms are nice as they are two story's large garden and nice playground and basketball court

We stayed here after having previously stayed here a couple of times before over the last few years. We knew what to expect from the accommodation, which was fine for us for one night - however… After checking in (yep it really is a silly late check in) we headed to the pool to relax. Full of families and children splashing and dive bombing into the pool we tried to go in the “jacuzzi” - it genuinely is no bigger than a lazy spa you’d have in the garden (and I doubt even as powerful) and cannot fit comfortably more than 1 person but even then you can’t actually put your legs out and relax (unless you’re under 5ft) Hey ho, it’s a night away so you just enjoy……. But alas! No, no you can’t! After going to the “bar” and looking through the drinks menu and feeling surprised that no bottles of wine / carafe’s etc were available as per previous occasions we thought never mind, and politely trying to enquire if it was possible. The VERY rude manageress informed us that they are “NOT A HOTEL” the consensus was we’ll just order 2 rounds each time given the €1.50 per glass price tag (approx 120ml glass) Having fun, and enjoying our down time, it just kept getting better…. - firstly imagine our surprise when the second round resulted in the “barman” disappearing for 5 minutes and coming back with his baguette in his mouth whilst finishing pouring drinks. - even better the next time when he informed us that this was the last drinks he would serve us as the manager had told him “no more, they are liability” Never have my best friend and I ever felt like characters from Pretty Woman! - we had wine in the car we were taking home but thought we’d spend our euro’s supporting the business and relaxing but NO! Our money was no good there! And the kicker was it wasn’t even 9pm French time at this point! And aside from 2 women having a cup of coffee the place was empty!! So, even though this room (found on *********** & **********) wasn’t a hotel room, didn’t have ANY amenities to make your own food etc we ended up going back to our room to drink our own brought alcohol and play cards whilst people played tennis games on the courts in the dark! Any British people will be aware of Pontins and their standards - this is worse so I would certainly exercise caution if you choose to book! Oh - the final thing to note is there’s no such thing as a double bed. All beds are single, with a bedside table in between and the itchiest, scratchiest and cheapest bed linen you could imagine - if Poundland sold bedding it would be nicer.

À notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis par un membre du personnel très gentil qui nous a remis les clés de notre logement. Le logement était correct, avec cinq lits d'une personne, ce qui ne correspondait pas à nos besoins. Cependant, les problèmes ont commencé dès que nous sommes allés dîner. Nous avions opté pour la pension complète, mais à notre grande surprise, il n'y avait qu'un plat unique au menu, aussi bien pour les adultes que pour les enfants. Le menu du soir proposait des pâtes accompagnées de fruits de mer, auquel je suis allergique. J'ai été choquée d'apprendre que la pension complète se faisait sur un repas unique, une information qui n'était mentionnée nulle part. Le personnel a fini par me proposer un menu enfant (nuggets et petits pois), ce qui, bien que décevant, me convenait. Après le repas, nous avons décidé de profiter de la piscine, ouverte jusqu'à 22h, mais l'eau était froide, tout comme le jacuzzi. Nous nous y sommes malgré tout installés quelques minutes, mais cela n'a pas vraiment compensé la déception. Le lendemain, au déjeuner, un repas sucré-salé était proposé, une combinaison que je déteste. Ne voulant pas paraître difficile, j'ai laissé de côté ce que je n'aimais pas. Le soir, nous avons de nouveau été confrontés à un repas décevant, avec de la viande grasse comme seul plat proposé, et cette fois, aucune alternative n'a été envisagée. J'ai dû insister pour obtenir une simple tranche de jambon avec du taboulé, mais la portion était si petite qu'après deux repas incomplets, j'ai dû me rendre dans une friterie à proximité pour enfin manger à ma faim. En rentrant, nous avons voulu jouer au tennis de table, mais à 22h, la salle était fermée à double tour (j'ai un ado de 15 ans). Le lendemain matin, en rendant les clés, aucun membre du personnel ne nous a demandé comment s'était passé notre séjour, pas un mot. Ce camping ne me reverra plus jamais. Pouvoir se payer seulement deux jours de congé et être confrontée à cette situation m'a vraiment déçue. Je suis écœurée par cette expérience et je me suis sentie comme une mauvaise cliente, ce qui m'a presque fait pleurer."

Op het eerste gezicht een aardig complex. Personeel is vriendelijk maar spreekt nauwelijks Engels. Bedden zijn goed, kussens veel te zacht. Zowel de kamer als bijvoorbeeld de eetzaal zijn enorm gedateerd en heel erg gehorig. Schilderwerk aan muren en deuren is echt belabberd. De eettafels en eetstoelen in met name de grote restaurantruimte waar wij ontbeten zijn in zeer slechte staat. Het leer van de stoelen hangt los en er staan zelfs plastic kuipstoeltjes. Het ontbijt is matig. Weinig keuze in beleg en alles is “mini”. 1 plak ham wordt bijvoorbeeld in 10 stukjes gesneden en dan op een schaal gelegd.
