Teviot View Accommodation

Friendly and helpful proprietor of a Motel set in nice neat grounds off the State Highway but still very central Good size bedrooms and large bathroom with a great shower ; the lounge area felt a bit crowded due to a large sofa as well as two smaller cane chairs There was also a good size glass table and a nice outdoor seating area

Rianne was a lovely host and supplied us with a very spacious 2 bedroom unit with great kitchen facilities, for only $179.00. We have special diet requirements so it was great to see good utensils and pans in the kitchen. It was so quiet, in a suburban street but very spacious grounds allowed us to feel privacy. It was clean and modern and a credit to the moteliers. We loved our stay there.

We spent 5 nights here, the unit was so impeccably clean and tidy and the hosts were very friendly. It is a great location with walking distance to the hub of Amberley. Being in Amberley, there is no light pollution so we slept so well, it was dark and extremely quiet.

August 2023 - Three night stay while exploring Waipara wine region of Canterbury NZ. Lovely, well maintained lodging in Amberley NZ. Very friendly hosts and a well run property. Clean and tidy, lovely garden, furnished and stocked for self catering. Bedroom of unit in the rear of layout - perfect for quiet sleep. On the beach road and walkable to the Countdown grocery plaza and several local eateries. Short drive (10-15 km) to most of the area cellar doors. Area has nice comfortable vibe and Teviot Views hospitality was in keeping with the friendly feeling of Amberley. Good value and a positive recommendation.

We were greeted by Rianne who was so cheerful and helpful, made check-in a breeze and we also felt protected and looked after during these times of sanitising and mask wearing. We were thrilled with our accommodation which was a single, one-level unit with parking directly outside. The inside was so beautifully presented, exceptionally clean throughout (very important to us) and very comfortable. We had a separate lounge/kitchen/dining and a spacious bedroom with a very comfortable super king bed and bathroom with a great shower. This was all so welcome after a long trip from the North Island, we even had a Christmas tree with lights. Both Rianne and Wayne are so easy to talk with and really care about their customers. Think about staying here if you on your travels, you won't regret it.
