킨타 도스 아미고스(Quinta Dos Amigos)

When I read reviews about this resort someone said the photos don’t do it justice as it’s much nicer, and oh boy is that true! This is such a beautiful place, with attention to every little detail and a great resort to relax and enjoy the Portuguese sun. You can tell how much effort goes into maintaining the great variety of plants. I’d say the resort suits everyone like couples, a group of friends and families. We went with our 2yo toddler and she enjoyed the swings, trampoline, gardens, and the toddler pool, which has shallow water and a big parasol to provide shade. There are adults and children’s books in their own library as well as board games. There are two main big pools, one for adults only. There were always enough sun-loungers; pool towels can be bought or rented (5€ per stay). There is a small shop for basic necessities, cold drinks as well as some toys and souvenirs. The apartments are unique and are maintained very well, each of them comes with its own patio and BBQ. There is no air conditioning, but fans are provided. We managed fairly well without air-con despite the hot temperatures during the day, as temperatures drop at night and leaving the windows open will cool down the rooms; all windows come with fly screens. They also arrange massage therapy, which we highly recommend! Carla provides fantastic, relaxing massages on site. There are a couple of restaurants and a small supermarket in walking distance, however, a car is probably more practical.

This place is absolutely beautiful. I loved the real Portuguese accommodation. Beautifully appointed apartments. Well equipped. Absolutely perfectly maintained. Daily cleaning. It was just so peaceful and lovely. It’s perfect for families with kids who nap because the apartments are beside the pools. A short walk to a Portuguese supermarket. A short walk to decent restaurants.

What a great and beautiful place to stay, it was perfect! Everything was very clean and with the great pool and all the beautiful colourfull flowers it is a very relaxing place. I hope to come back someday!

Il y a une végétation luxuriante et un accueil d’une gentillesse sans égale par Sandrine, une française qui gère cet endroit composé de petits bungalows décorés avec goût. Il y a deux piscines dont une réservée aux enfants. Le restaurant, tenu par Richard, un chef français expatrié propose des plats à des prix raisonnables dignes des restaus gastro en France. Je vous recommande aussi le petit déjeuner en terrasse somptueux qui permet de commencer la journée dans les meilleures conditions. C’est mon 3ème séjour au paradis !
