라 카레타(La Caretta Hotel)

Super holliday in this place!!! Nice rooms, excellent food, super staff. Mihaela and ****ne were amazing!!! Super taverna with excelent food!!! In future I will come back to visit them. Do not miss this place, you will regret!!! The best place in Alykes!

Michaela wasn’t in reception when we arrived but she was called and arrived within minutes. The room we were offered was on the second floor , however my husband informed them of his back problem and without question she offers us a beautiful ground floor room. The room was fresh and modern with a microwave, toaster, sandwich grill, kettle and a fridge. A couple of minor issues were quickly resolved with sincere apologies. Michaela is friendly and helpful. The pool area was quiet and lovely soft towels were provided. I know others have commented about the quad business attached and it’s true they do pass through the pool area to park behind the hotel but this wasn’t too much of an issue for us. I would stay again.

Very clean rooms with view to the village center! Friendly staff and very helpful. We are visitig this facility for over 10years and everytime it was a delight! You have also access to rental cars, scooters, ATV and boats. We will visit some other time too, Because we are going to miss it!

Where do I begin, Michaela and her husband where one in a million, they assisted with everything I needed from car hire and quad bike hire to a private boat trip, rooms are very delightful and modern, loved the shower! My duration was 6 nights and most nights I ate in their fabulous restaurant. I had problems with my transfer and beautiful Michaela actually took time out of her day to drive me to the airport, can’t thank you guys enough and appreciate how you hosted me, will definitely be back again.

😂😂😂😂😂😂Tripadvisor or the hotel must have took down my last review look just don’t stay here if you want a nice holiday MARIE owns the hotel it’s not your hotel don’t complain clean bed sheets once in 10 days they hire quads out but she tells you not to be nosey on it then comes out and demands you shut it off but her hotel tell you to park it right next to reception you aren’t aloud to complain it’s a like it or lump it she has removed my last review and Alex who is putting reviews on is her FACT if I could give 0 stars I would alikanas it’s self saves it perfect for couples if you want chilled time just don’t stay near MARIE OR LA CARETTA

I stay here 8 days this year 3 time in this place ! The room and staff they are so nice! The lady from reception help us with the map and showing where is the best place to go ! 🥰 The internet sometimes slow 🥰

Emailed ahead asking fir a high floor got a ground floor facing reception no view except the cars constantly parked in front of the balcony wall. Not a very warm welcome and not very much interaction throughout our stay. Not the cleanest don’t think floor washed for the whole 2 weeks - decent shower and comfy beds. VERY basic kitchen equipment - kettle but no toaster - 1 large and 1 small plate and 1 chipped bowl - 2 cups and 3 glasses with a few bits of cutlery - good job we eat out. Good location but a lot of noise and inconsideration from the car rental at the front

The worst food ever. The worst experience in Zakynthos. We will never return. The food was disgusting and tasteless and we didn't receive all the things we ordered. We did not receive a tax receipt and the payment note was written by hand.

We have been coming to Alykanas for many years and as we had enjoyed eating in La Caretta restaurant previously, we decided to book the hotel. On arrival, we didn't receive the warm welcome we are used to in this resort, we were pointed to the stairs and direction of our room, with no offer of help with our luggage. There was no key for the safety deposit box in our room, so we went back down to "reception". Michaela told us that the key was missing but she would sort this later today or tomorrow, this never happened, in fact she didn't speak to us again throughout our 2 week stay! Lol. The positives are: it's in a great central location, the bed was comfortable and the daily housekeeping, by the friendly Cleaners was good. The room was a good size and shower was effective. The other things that let this accomodation down for us were the really disrespectful, noisy other guests. La caretta also offers cars/bikes/quads hire, however, we weren't expecting them to be frequently driven by the side of the (nice) pool to be cleaned, not very relaxing or private! We have stayed in some beautiful places in this resort, but this was a bit of a let down.
