An easy check in by a friendly receptionist. Stayed in room 5127 a sea view larger room with a very large double bed and seating area in next room two showers and bath. Both rooms had a 50 inch TV with a remote that needed a degree in engineering to operate. The rooms are very clean and well serviced with a turn down service every time I got in the shower ( joking). Breakfast was eaten in level 1 that is an adult only area. Very nice touch with afternoon treats and snacks and free drinks all day. The breakfast has a good selection of choice ( most of the time the bacon, sausage and beans were just warm ) but overall made up with a great fresh fruit section and continental choices. Overall a pleasant stay. Hotel has a refurbishment program going on so the odd sounds of drilling can be heard on times.

Excellent hotel, very central to the city centre, customer service from all of the staff exceptional, housekeeping very good, food standard & presentation amazing. Would defintely recommend the hotel and would defintely return in the not so distant future. Level experience was amazing and exceptional.

Lovely stay as always… wish the sun stayed on the level terrace for more than an hour and more coffee tea and milk in rooms as usual but the staff are magnificent… very welcoming.

We had problems at first. These were dealt with extremely well when brought to the attention of management. Our room was changed and the second room was fabulous (although we paid more for it). Again, after explaining to staff, great attention was paid to a food intolerance. Also, as a level guest you can eat in the a la carte restaurant where the food is delicious, the food in the buffetrestaurantwas not good. The Level lounge is a lovely bright space and the breakfasts in there were superb. Only small issue was too many sunbeds around the level pool area made it feel very crowded.

Just returned from 5 night stay in the level at melia Alicante. Here the staff are wonderful especially juan in the pool area. The “infinity “ pool is really a plunge pool for standing only. It is not large enough to swim in and is squashed in the corner of a very small area filled with sunbeds. There aren’t enough for the number of guests and is shaded in the afternoon. The lounge area is not 5 star but is comfortable enough and plenty of snacks and drinks available the tapas are a bit hot and miss and seem more like pizza but there is some variety. The seaview junior suite is beautiful and the view is amazing check out sunrise. Amenities are good and cleaning superb. Would I stay again. Definitely

Booked a level room which, for all intents and purposes is like most other hotels’ Executive or Club experience I.e a better room, amenities, lounge excess with soft drinks / snacks and a cocktail hour. However, sadly, breakfast is not included and I found that really disappointing especially since their website says “Savour a delicious private gourmet breakfast in The Level Lounge. A first-class dining experience in the most select setting at the Meliá Alicante”. Ok, I suppose it doesn’t say “free” but it’s written along with all the other blurb of what is included for free, so at best, it’s intentionally misleading. So, breakfast is then €18. (Ask chat GPT if it thinks breakfast is included, it does, because like me it’s pulling its info from the melia website). The lounge had more of a cafe feel than a typical club lounge, and the pool area is way too cramped for our liking. Squashed in like sardines in a can. The hotel lifts and seriously slow which is annoying. Other than that, it’s a decent hotel. The room was spot on. Good bed, pillows, shower, Rituals amenities. Nice staff. Good location. Would go again, but would just book normal hotel at cheaper rate and have breakfast out.
