Stouffermill Bed & Breakfast

The warm hospitality during our stay at this beautiful bed and breakfast was wonderful. The accommodations in the snowy north were absolutely perfect—cozy, comfortable, and exactly what we needed for a winter getaway. The amazing and filling breakfasts were a true highlight, giving us the perfect start to each day. We also truly enjoyed learning about the history of the property and appreciate the care and passion the owners have put into making it such a welcoming place. We hope to visit again during the summer months to experience the beauty of the area in a different season.

It's all been said before many times before, but this is one of the best bed and breakfasts we've ever stayed in. Don and Jessie are great hosts, and the house is amazing. If you're visiting in the winter, make sure you have winter tires on your car as the approach road can be a bit treacherous (I believe there is some "alternative parking", but I'm guessing that involves walking on the treacherous road). For EV owners, there are fast chargers at the Canadian Tire gas station in nearby Minden, but if you're really desperate Don will rig up an extension cord to the parking area for an emergency trickle charge.

What an amazing gem of a place! We had an amazing few days and Don & Jessie are the best hosts. The snow came as we arrived which made the whole experience magical. Jessie's breakfasts were awesome and their suggestions of what to do were spot on. We loved the hot tub after a particularly challenging snowy walk in Algonquin! Highly recommended!

Just left Stouffer Mills after spending 3 delightful nights there. Don and Jessie are indeed very hospitable and friendly and the daily breakfasts are suburb and large enough for my wife and I to forget about lunch. The German shepherd, Sasha, was also very welcoming and pleasant after announcing your arrival. The building is truly unique, octagonal in shape with beautiful wooden floors and a hot tub on the top floor. The beds and pillows were so comfortable that my wife and I slept in an extra hour each morning. The guest den had a TV with multi channels and the wi-fi was excellent and fast. All in all, an excellent 4 days spent there in an area we did not know well. PS be sure to visit the Wolves Centre about 30 minutes away.

Don and Jesse are great hosts and make you feel special and welcome. They give amazing food in the morning at the exact time you ask! Don helped us get up the driveway(snowy) and they both recommended many hiking and dining spots. They are local guides to the area and are themselves what make this B+B so special!

This Bnb is nestled peacefully on its own on a little hilltop. Besides its cute and unique circular façade, you might not find it particularly special from the outlook. But once you step into it, you might be awed by its classic vintage style. We have already heard of its hospitable and delicious breakfast, but its museum like atmosphere with the vast antique collection and decoration is something that has really taken us aback! Every moment we stayed there, we found something new and different. The discovery is like endless. After a day's trip, we enjoyed sitting in such artistic tranquility at a classic corner savoring the cookies prepared by the host lady in front of the vast horizon looking out to the lake over the treetop. The kindness and friendliness of Don and Jessie, the heartfelt cookies, rich and hospitable breakfast together with its peaceful classic atmosphere create in you a feeling of home and family that we didn't want to leave. We would highly recommend this BnB.
