This place is something truly special. Tucked away in the middle of nowhere, it offers beautiful suites with views over a stream and vineyards—and some even have private pools. It’s peaceful, relaxing, and just feels like a little slice of heaven. The restaurant is Michelin-mentioned and absolutely worth a visit—great food and even better wines. The service is super personal and friendly, and the whole place is a perfect mix of working farm and luxury hotel. And the breakfast? Just amazing. If you're heading to the Alentejo region, this is definitely a place to consider. We loved every minute.

I feel fortunate to have stayed at Malhadinha on four different occasions, and each time it gets better and better. The generosity of spirit that permeates Malhadinha is remarkable. It truly deserves its Relais & Châteaux status, as it radiates charm, comfort, character, courtesy, calm, and fabulous cuisine, along with exceptional wines. Thank you for everything you do to make your guests leave feeling they've had a month's holiday in only 2 nights!

A little slice of heaven. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my stay. The staff is incredible. The property is a variable maintained and beautiful.

We have just had 3 nights at herdade da malhadinha nova. Our room was really comfortable and very good value. The air con and Wi-Fi are incredibly good. The breakfasts were delicious, and it is so peaceful. We enjoyed the pool and walking around the estate. We ate in every evening and the restaurant is fabulous. The bbq on Sunday night was both good value and excellent quality. Staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Highly recommend. Excellent stay. Service, facilities, food, decor all really lovely. The GM was superb. The shop supplies lots of local products / wines at very reasonable prices. Kids welcome on part of the estate. Atmosphere a little bit like heaven. Worth the trip.

We were a party of six and booked the wine tour and tasting with some tapas on a Saturday afternoon. Our expectations were high having seen the hotel reviews and the price of the wines Malhadinha offer. We arrived a little early and were asked to wait because two others would be joining us but they were still having lunch. 15 minutes after the start time, they still hadn't shown up so we started the tour of the facilities. Our guide was friendly and the site was quite impressive but he seemed a bit in a hurry. When we got to the wine tasting there were 4 wines - we have been to many wine tastings in Portugal and elsewhere and the amount of wine offered was very small. Also, the whole process felt very rushed - after starting 15 minutes late, we finished 15 minutes early! Perhaps our host wanted to get away on a Saturday afternoon. Overall not a good experience which has put us off trying the restaurant especially if any wine pairings are handled in the same way as the tasting. In contrast, the wine tasting at nearby Herdade dos Grous was a fantastic experience.
