From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcome and knew this was the perfect place for our summer family vacation. We enjoyed all our experiences at the hotel - from the meals (especially the dinners at CORE with its fantastic service staff and the entertainment team!) to the most amazing Kids Club (Elina and the team were the best kids club team we’ve ever met anywhere!) to the unique Spa treatment. Every situation was so professionally handled and we were extremely satisfied with our experience! Special thanks to Ms. Anastasia for her tireless efforts to make us enjoy our stay until the very last minute as well as Mr. Nikos. We will definitely look back fondly at our stay and will make plans to visit again in the future. Our kids are already asking to go again!

We (four adults) stayed in a 2-bed luxury villa with a pool, and the experience was near perfect. The accommodation, facilities, staff, and food were all truly 5-star. From the warm welcome at the gates to the stunning bay views and attentive service throughout, everything felt luxurious. Staff go out of their way to make your stay special. Despite it being a family resort, we found plenty of peaceful, adult-only spaces, including a quiet beach area and a separate kids’ pool (which you can easily avoid if you don’t have kids). It’s very well balanced for both families and adults. We stayed half board and especially loved the beach restaurant—fantastic food in a beautiful setting. Wine isn’t included and can be pricey, so perhaps a local house option for half-board guests would be a welcome touch. The Haute Living lounge (included with villas) was a great perk—free drinks and snacks all day. While kids are allowed in, an adults-only section might improve the experience. Top tip: Visit nearby Plaka for a traditional Cretan meal—Maria’s Taverna was a highlight. The hotel even gave us a lunch voucher in exchange for skipping one dinner, which was much appreciated. Highly recommended for couples, groups of friends, and younger families. A truly exceptional resort.

This is the second Domes Hotel we have stayed at as a family of five (last year was in Corfu) and so we are familiar with their excellent service and attention to detail. The villa is absolutely perfect with so many features (there's even a washing machine) it will need its own separate review. This stay is especially memorable as every staff member we have encountered from Margarita in housekeeping to to Eleni P. the Duty Manager have made us feel like we are the only family staying here. The servers, Chara, Christina, Giannis, and Manos (maker of the freshly squeezed orange juice) to name just a few, are friendly, attentive and are genuinely interested in making sure you are having the best dining experience they can offer. One evening we were the last people to leave the Steak and Wine restaurant and never felt like we were hurried to leave. The dining managers, Zakis was one, came to each table every evening to check on the diners to make sure the food and the service is as expected; there really is no complaint, everything is done so well here. We even saw Zakis (Dining Manager) lead a team of staff with a chocolate cake singing a surprise Happy Birthday to a team member in the Haute Living Lounge (The Bonvoy Members Lounge). The staff are good to each other and to hotel guests as well. Different staff members remember you and will smilingly greet you all over the resort, asking how the stay is going and if anything is needed. Petros, concierge at the Haute Living Lounge would ask what plans we had for the day and what activities we have already done. When we said we were going to Voulisma Beach (40 mins from resort and one of the best beaches on the island - don't miss) he realised by the time we got there (11:30am) the loungers would all be taken. He called his contact there to arrange for loungers and umbrellas to be saved for us. Undoubtedly we would have sat on our towels on the beach without his thoughtfulness. Rena and Lilly must have made, confirmed, then changed and again confirmed dining bookings for us half a dozen times without so much as batting an eyelid and always with a smile. Everyone here is genuinely kind and hospitable, they are actually happy you are here on their resort and want to make sure you have the best time. We utilised spa services also and Marianna (spa manger) managed to coordinate spa services (massages, body wraps) for five people; the spa experience was relaxing and the spa treatment therapists, Haris, Doxa, Nina, Vaso and Marilena were experienced and excellent. We are already planning which Domes resort to visit next; for us the name is synonymous with excellence in all areas and an unforgettable vacation experience. We would like to thank Eleni P. for taking such good care of us here; she obviously cares about making sure her guests leave with the best impression of Crete; when we return we will be staying at Domes of Elounda.

Surprised to find that Haute Living was so dominated by kids. Great rooms, lovely staff, really well kept resort but more family focused than we thought, which meant dinners and breakfast were quite noisy. One disappointing impact of this was that the haute living room was very busy and noisy at lunch, even more so as sadly some families just walk in to use it, one saying just go through the open door via the restaurant, no one checks and it’s free food. So it wasn’t exactly exclusive. The food in the restaurants was very good although the hb option complicated. So we had a good time and a lovely well managed resort with brilliant rooms, but unless there is a more adult friendly haute living option it’s hard for couples.

Our second time visiting in 6 months. This time with a 4 year old and an 18 month old. Amazing hotel so well set up for families. They have thought of everything and nothing is too much trouble. In the restaurants they have high chairs, a toddler buffet station, colouring packs at dinner, toddler plates/bowls/cutlery and the staff make such a fuss of the children. In our room they provided everything we might need too: change mat, cot with linen, potty, toddler toilet seat, baby toiletries, stair gate and a fence round the pool. They even had mini dressing gowns for each of the children. If you need anything else all you have to do is ask e.g. steriliser. There’s a lovely pool for babies next to the main pool which is shaded and the beach is great for small children. It is sheltered so the water is very calm and shallow for ages, perfect for exploring. Special thank you to the wonderful ladies running the brilliant kids club. We were nervous leaving out two children there but Deppy, Angie, Connie and Tzela looked after them so well that they ran in on the 2nd day and even asked to go back. They just love children and it really shows and makes such a difference. When we picked them up they were always crafting/playing games and most importantly happy!

Terrific amenities and an absolutely beautiful beach with a warm, caring team. The resort is well-designed for families with young children, offering a wide range of activities and a heated family pool. The staff works hard to support parents and create a welcoming, active atmosphere. There is a relaxing beach with sand access to the beautiful water. The setting is intimate—only about 60 rooms—and the focus is clearly on creating a vibrant environment for families. If you’re traveling with kids, this place is a great choice. If you are traveling as a couple, without children, they have some areas that are focused for adults only, remember to ask about this. The resort has a team that really cares and that comes through in all they do. Also try the steak house, Blend” the food was terrific and had a great menu of cuts from Tomahawk steaks to filets and my ordered the Skirt Steak and it was absolutely terrific.
