Amazing location, great staff with excellent hospitality. Only thing that needs a solution is the pub next to the hotel with very loud music until late night. Special thanks to Alexandra, who has been very helpful during our stay!

Olivar suites is a lovely hotel, very clean and quiet with very attentive and pleasant staff throughout our weeks’ stay. The red/green light system for ‘clean our room’ or ‘don’t clean our room’ is pretty much redundant as cleaning staff would either knock on our door or ask us when we were leaving the room if it was ok to clean room on a daily basis as if they are on a room rate or something? I don’t know but this became rather annoying. €70 euros charge as soon as we entered hotel! Room tax @ €10 per night, Wasn't made aware of this when Booking with TUI, and no mention until we arrived at the Hotel, so That was a Big hit on our spending money straight away! We paid for a ‘package’ holiday, which by definition means everything surely?! Basin plug doesn’t work, had to ask them for plastic bowl to shave. When I showed Staff the Picture of Basin Plug, they told me that all the Rooms don't have a Fully functioning Plug in the Basins to avoid Flooding, The fact that the Basins DON'T have an Overflow Hole is THE Reason that they have had to disable the Sealing Function! What a Waste of Money AND a Big Inconvenience for anyone who Wet Shaves OR Needs to fill the basin for anything! Like washing Clothes for example, and Nothing is provided to either Wash OR Dry any item of Clothing, had to use clothes hangers and hang from wall and glass railing. ..BUT they DO give you a Price list of the Washing/Drying/Ironing Service they provide!...26 eoros to wash dry & Iron a T-Shirt!!! You Have GOT to be joking! A Door handle/knob had broken off in toilet so very slippery to open from the inside, reported first day but never repaired. ‘Cleaned’ white bed linen always has stain marks on it like it hasn’t been washed properly. Mini bar is packed full of small bottles which we did not use due to the High prices. There is nowhere to place your own bottled water or beers. So first thing to do is remove all their vastly overpriced items and stack on the table ready for replacement when departures day arrives. Bar prices at the Beach front bar are EXPENSIVE! We only had one drink each here on our first night, 1 bottle of standard lager, and 1 wine & lemonade spritzer €35!.. when I questioned the price at the bar and told them we were actually residents of the hotel and hadn’t just walked in from the beach! Anyway, as I handed him €40 he came back from the till with €28 change and said, sorry, he had got our order mixed up with someone else. I am only including these details in case other residents have had the same experience and maybe it isn’t just an honest mistake, you just never know these days. But even at €22 for a Beer and wine spritzer is FAR too expensive for Messonghi or anywhere really, which was corroborated when we paid for the drinks and walked just a few yards down the road to the Barino Bar where Achilles served us identical drinks coming to a grand total of €8.50! This hotel is very nice and with a few tweaks could be amazing. We stayed for 2 weeks in an executive suite, really nice accommodation but with children on either side of us being woken up by 6 each morning wasn't pleasant. Although I appreciate this isn't an adults only hotel, visitors need to be aware when we were so were a very large number of babies and toddlers. The prices of the restaurant and bar were very very high, the service was very good but didn't make up for the incredibly high cost. I say this as someone who last year went to Outrigger in the Maldives! €18 for a cocktail was a shock to say the least as was €17 for a simple Greek salad. In short having an adults only area and a rethink of the pricing of food and drink would be an idea. The place was also full of 'influencer' type people constantly on their phones filming each other at one point on the beach I wondered what type of content was being made!

What a fantastic place this hotel is! Beautiful surroundings, fabulous décor, polite helpful staff, great food and lots of sunshine. We stayed in early June last year and have booked again for the last week of June this year, it’s unusual for us to return to the same place (especially so soon) but when we were looking for a holiday, nothing came close to the standard set by this hotel, so we booked it again and breathed a sigh of relief. We stayed in an executive suite last year which includes a garden with a pool and we’ve gone the same again. I can’t remember our room number, the location was perfect being just a short walk away from the pool, beach, OliBar and Flya Restaurant. The room was spacious, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean, with multiple maid visits per day, only negative is the wardrobe space, not enough for us. We ate in quite a few of the local restaurants mostly serving traditional Greek food which was good enough for us, the food in the hotel however, was delicious. We’ve booked B&B again and will do a mixture of dining in and out. We didn’t use the Spa, not sure if we will this time around either, the prices put us off. We found guest relations extremely helpful during our stay whenever we asked for advice, they also arranged a taxi for us to visit Mouse Island and Corfu Town where we had a lovely meal and did a little shopping as well as some sightseeing. The only thing left to say is if you’re reading through the reviews still undecided about booking The Olivar Suites - just do it, you won’t be disappointed, we can’t wait to return.

If you are looking for a relaxing holiday then this is the hotel for you . The staff are both friendly and attentive. The layout, architecture and landscaping are all stunning. Breakfast was delicious with a varied selection at both the buffet and from the a la carte menu . While cocktails are expensive they are the best in Messonghi . Can’t wait to go back !

Stayed for 8 nights in Executive Suite with private pool. Room was spacious with contemporary decor and spotlessly clean. Found all staff to be extremely friendly and helpful; always willing to go above and beyond to make your stay as relaxed as possible. If you need anything don’t be afraid to ask. Found house keeping and room service to be very efficient and friendly. Really liked having our own private pool which was cleaned daily. We did not really use the main pool but did go on the beach where there are plenty of beds and towels available. The hotel has certainly added to the area of Messonghi and has been sympathetically built with great architecture and landscaping. Whilst the surrounding area outside of the hotel does not offer the same level of luxury, the area did grow on us and there are plenty of tavernas, restaurants and bars to eat and drink at within a short walk of the hotel. Great local supermarket offering all the supplies you would need. The only negatives were that we found the choice at breakfast to be a little limited e.g. no pastries/croissants and the prepared fruit selection lacked the variety we would expect. The price of drinks in the bar is prohibitively expensive even though they do make an effort to provide live entertainment in the bar. We would definitely recommend this hotel and plan to return to the hotel and to Corfu in the future!

We recently stayed at this wonderful hotel and it has more than met my expectations. Right from the start we had welcome drinks as we were checking in and we were taken to our room along with our luggage via golf cart. Our guide Eugene gave us a tour of the hotel and explained everything in perfect detail. The room was perfect, fit and finish second to none. The private pool we had was ideal to cool off after a day exploring the island. The room was cleaned and fresh towels everyday even more than that on many occasions when returning to our room. It had a neat system so you can turn on do not disturb or I want my room cleaned at a touch of a button. Breakfast was superb, you can order hot items off the menu and have chefs in an open kitchen prepare you food and also there was a lavish spread of cold items. They have proper Smeg toasters that actually toast bread not like those conveyor belt contraptions. Freshly squeezed orange juice, no carton gloop here. Overall our stay was more than we could have imagined, staff were incredible and nothing is too much trouble. Take note Babbis Voulgaris, whatever you are paying them double it as they are worth keeping and are truly an asset to your hotel. We will return, thanks Simon and Danni x

We booked this hotel after a busy 10 day trip around Albania as we wanted somewhere peaceful to relax and spend my husbands birthday. We picked the perfect place with The Olivar suites and were really glad we chose to stay there. On check in they had upgraded us to a suite that was slightly bigger than the one we'd booked and the extra space was much appreciated. The suites are simple but beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The bottle of wine and fruit plate on arrival is also a nice touch. We did get a little bit of noise from the neighbouring hotel in the evening so if you're a light sleeper, I'd suggest requesting a room on the other side of the property. The grounds of the hotel and the communal areas are gorgeous, all of the pathways are lined with olive trees and there are flowers and herbs growing everywhere. The pool and beach areas are great, plenty of sunbeds and nicely spaced out so it feels nice and peaceful. The hotel staff brought some sparkling wine and a cake for my husbands breakfast which was a lovely start to the day and all of the staff looked after us really well. The breakfast options are really good and they cater for dietary requirements really well too. The restaurant is nice if you want a fine dining option and the quality of the food and wine is very good - we did find the cocktails overly expensive though, even for a 5 star hotel. We also ate at Bacchus just along the beach - they do simple but delicious fresh fish. The hotel has a small but well equipped gym, a bike hire place just next door and plenty of trails nearby if you want to get out for a run. We also tried the spa which I hadn't realised was separate to the hotel - I'd say this was reflected in the fact that the spa staff on the reception weren't as friendly or accommodating as the hotel staff. The ladies that did our treatments were lovely and the massages were fine, if a little overpriced. We absolutely loved this hotel, the only thing we'd change is the fact that they do accept bookings from families - for some reason I thought it was adults only (which I think it used to be) and hadn't realised we'd be there during half term. It wasn't the end of the world for us but I do think Olivar has more of an adult only vibe and I can imagine it wouldn't be the most relaxing atmosphere around the pool during school holidays. That said, if you have a room with a private pool, it wouldn't be a major issue. We'd definitely return but most like outside of school holidays.

This is a relatively new, eco-friendly, pet-friendly resort with excellent facilities and service. The accommodation (junior suite with private pool) was comfortable, well thought-through and tastefully decorated. The hotel has a lot of staff working tirelessly around the clock to make sure that guests’ needs are met. They are friendly, efficient and accommodating. The ambiance in the hotel was very relaxing throughout, from the moment we arrived to the moment we (reluctantly) left – this was in mid-May, not sure what it is like in July-August though. Very good breakfast by the pool with a combination of à la carte and buffet menu. Small but well-equipped gym and spa offering a variety of treatments – I tried the Cretan massage and really liked it, although at €160 for 70 minutes I felt it was a bit pricey. I strongly recommend this resort and can’t wait to go back for my summer holidays this year! ＜3
