As usual I book into the hotel once a year. Nothing changes, so you always know what to expect. The reception staff are excellent. They are always ready to help you. I only ate there once on my arrival. The evening meal choices are pretty much the same. The meal was plentiful, but not anything special. The menu certainly needs to be updated, and some more healthy choices made available. However, this year I found the hotel very noisy. Every night at around 2-3am, guests returning to their rooms, woke me up. Doors slamming and people talking loudly, as they passed along the corridor, showed no respect to people already sleeping. Some notices in the corridors, and on the back of bedroom doors, asking people to be respectful of other guests, when returning late into the morning, would be helpful. I have no doubt that some people would take no notice of them. However it might make others think twice. I will return next year but for a much shorter stay. I am looking forward to going home for a decent night's sleep. TIP - pack some ear plugs.

We had the most wonderful dinner in the Manor Hotel. Steak was cooked to perfection and the mixed grill was delicious. Huge portions , so bring an appetite. Highly recommend.

Basic hotel. Stayed as we were flying out of Dublin airport early the next day. Location is good but a bit confusing to find local shop close by. Check in staff were only ok. However, the breakfast staff ladies were just amazing and so helpful and friendly. Food wasn’t available after a certain time which was a disaster for us with the kids and there wasn’t a great selection of food deliveries available either.

We arrived here pretty late after our flight into Dublin was delayed by an hour an half. We arrived at about 10:30pm and checked straight in. The drive from Dublin airport was pretty straight forward and I’d highly recommend if using as a stop over on the way to cork. The hotel is beautiful, it was grand and clean and really unique. It was really quiet when we arrived but it was late on a Monday night. Loads of parking and our room was lovely. Clean room, 2 really comfy double beds. There was a kettle with tea bags and coffee, plenty of towels, and iron with ironing board. I’m sure most people would have a great nights sleep, my hubby did but I shared with our 5 year old and he’s like a spider monkey. Breakfast in the morning was lovely. Cereal, fruit and yoghurt were out to choose from along with juice and chocolate croissants. There were plenty of cooked options and we both went for breakfasts, mine small and hubby got a full Irish. It was lovely. The quality of the food was really really good. First time eating a white pudding and won’t be the last. Our waitress was lovely and even offered us Nutella for the little ones toast. We will defo come back if we venture down this way again

Stayed at this lovely friendly hotel on Sunday night, was on my way home from a meeting in Waterford and decided to stay the night as I was off my feet, I looked for a single room with breakfast, they had no single but gave me a double at no extra cost, the room was very spacious and very clean, nice firm bed, great nights sleep, breakfast was brilliant, piping hot and served by a very friendly waitress. hotel itself is very nice but could with a bit of a face lift but that's only my opinion, the hotel works very well as is. would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to have a comfortable, quiet stay.

We had such a lovely experience at Abbeyleix Manor. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was lovely and Polly’s is a real treasure. We were here for a family wedding in the area and everyone had a great time! The hotel has a really warm and welcoming atmosphere.
