I stayed for 5 nights, and first of all, the price is very reasonable for a backpacker hostel. Check-in is done online: you choose your language, scan your passport, and have a f2f call with the staff via an iPad. FYI, there is a mandatory accommodation tax in Japan of 100 yen per night. You can also request a paid ”Irori” service at a nearby sister branch, where you can grill your own ingredients over a traditional Japanese sunken hearth. Just a reminder: you can get fresh ingredients from the nearby market ”Family Store Satoh” or further away at ”Surugaya Asumo.” The common area isn't huge, and the kitchen is basic but functional with tableware, an electric kettle, ovens, a microwave, and a mini fridge. The tap water is drinkable; the mixer tap can be toggled to adjust the temperature, so you won't get a chill from the ice cold water in winter! 😂 In the back, there are a toilet, three shower stalls, and communal sinks, along with a washing machine and dryer that are free to use (you just need to buy detergent from the capsule machine or bring your own) Since it's a hostel, the dorms have top and bottom bunks. The bunks are quite spacious and come with two power outlets (remember your travel adapter!), an overhead locker (bring your own padlock), a towel, and two hooks. You have to make your own bed; it's a futon-style setup where you lay the linens on the mattress. A pillow and duvet are provided. During winter, they run the AC (split system) on heat mode to keep it cozy. In the room, there’s a luggage storage area and hanging rods for clothes. On the second floor where I stayed, there are two toilets in the room: one with a urinal and another unisex one with a smart bidet/washlet. To be honest, while it's very close to the Miyagawa Morning Market, it feels a bit far from the Nohi Bus Center and JR Station. If you don't like walking or tire easily, this might be a bit of a challenge. Overall, it's a great, affordable choice for backpackers😗

매우 따뜻한 환영을 받았고, 방문에 대한 조언도 많이 해주었습니다. 객실이 깨끗하고 가격대비 편안함이 괜찮습니다. 마을을 방문하기에 가까운 위치입니다. 다카야마에 가기 좋은 곳이에요.

국경일 연휴에 아이들과 다카야마 여행을 다녀왔습니다. 작은 마을은 조용하고 아늑했습니다. 저희가 묵었던 미야가와 호스텔은 정말 인상적이었습니다. 옛 일본의 독특한 건축 양식을 그대로 간직하고 있으면서도 체크인 과정은 놀라울 정도로 직관적이었습니다. 주인이 원격 채팅과 온라인 리뷰를 통해 객실을 예약해 주었습니다. 저희가 묵었던 객실은 세 명이 묵기에 꽤 넓었고, 바닥에서 잤는데, 다다미 특유의 느낌이 그대로 남아 있었습니다. 마룬주쿠와 츠마고주쿠 지역은 마치 에도 시대 일본으로 돌아간 듯한 매혹적인 풍경이었습니다. 숲, 판자길, 개울, 계곡이 어우러진 울창한 숲길 하이킹 코스도 정말 좋았습니다. 힘들고 시간이 촉박했지만, 그만한 가치가 있었습니다!

Genuine Japanese style accommodation in an Onsen. Facilities are limited but one encounters Japan like no other. Admitting that sleeping on a mattress next to each other is not for everyone and so might be the public shower in the Onsen. Shuttle bus to the city is needed as its quite far from the city centre. Luggage storage is very limited. Curfew at 11pm without exception.

편의시설도 잘 갖춰져 있고, 깨끗하고 편안하며, 성과 공원 근처에 위치도 좋습니다.

노히 버스 정류장이 아주 가깝습니다. 햄버거 가게에서 좌회전하여 길을 건너 왼쪽으로 걸어가다가 교차로에서 우회전하면 호텔 간판이 보입니다. 찾기 아주 쉽습니다. 호텔은 오래되어 보이지만 매우 깨끗합니다. 화장실도 충분하고, 커피와 말차는 24시간 언제든 이용 가능합니다. 주방에서 요리할 수 있고 수납공간도 넉넉합니다. 침대는 깨끗하고 부드럽고 편안합니다. 3박 이상 투숙 시 세탁 및 건조 서비스가 무료입니다. 시장, 식당, 패밀리마트도 가까이에 있습니다. 저는 매우 만족했고 기회가 된다면 다시 숙박하고 싶습니다.

온천과 같은 저예산 사람들에게 적합한 좋은 위치

정말 특별한 경험이었어요. 화상 통화로 온라인 체크인을 해본 건 처음이었고, 영어로만 소통했어요. 방은 괜찮았지만, 문이 없고 사물함이 작아서 자물쇠를 직접 챙겨야 해서 귀중품을 항상 챙겨야 했다는 점이 아쉬웠어요. JR 버스 정류장과도 가깝고 식당들도 가까워서 위치도 좋았어요! 가격도 매우 합리적이어서 다카야마 숙소로 좋은 선택이었습니다.

The owner of the accomodation is really accomodating The only thing that I observed was that the location has not much to offer when you're looking for some food So on my second day I did bought foods that will suffice until the next morning

The location is very convenient, very near to train station and city centre. Luggages storage is available and there is kitchen for guests to use.
