Ok. Lots to say! We booked a 9am drive and arrived at the dirt road into the reserve with 40 minutes to spare. The road said closed! So we used google maps and information on their website and found another entrance for the lodges. So we drove for 40 minutes thinking we would just make it. But we couldn’t access the site there! So we went into the lodge reception and they called ahead and rebooked us on the 1pm and said they had reserved a table for us in the restaurant. And they told us to ignore the road closed sign! So another 40 minute drive back only to find the table reservation was not for anything complimentary! They could have emailed us to advise us to ignore the road closed sign but didn’t. The manager could barely apologise for what he called a minor inconvenience! To us, that was a stressful 90 minutes of extra driving! We had already filled in the online indemnity form- but they wanted a paper copy despite them saying in the on line form ‘save the trees’. To add insult to injury, the manager said he would come back to us about something complimentary but never did. We then went on the drive, got stuck in a mud ditch and had to wait for an alternative vehicle, which was filthy and uncomfortable compared to the first vehicle. Overall a memorable day for the wrong reasons. At least we saw some incredible animals.

몇 걸음을 통해 바로 접근할 수 있는 Wilderness 해변이 내려다보이는 아름다운 장소. 방은 좋은 크기이며 흠 잡을 데없이 깨끗합니다. Wilderness까지 차로 매우 짧은 거리에 있거나 해변을 따라 도보로 15분 거리에 있습니다. 아침 식사는 제공되지 않지만 주스/물은 매일 교체되며 현지에서 선택의 폭이 넓거나 패스트리를 먹고 해변의 평화와 고요함을 즐기십시오. 정원과 수영장 지역은 놀랍습니다. Ken과 Belinda는 멋진 호스트입니다. 필요한 것이 있으면 거기에 있지만 배경에 그들이 살고 있기 때문에 그렇지 않은 경우 배경에 있습니다. 우리는 그것을 좋아했고 돌아올 것입니다. 우리를 주셔서 감사합니다! 집과 같은 편안함을 느끼며 저녁에 즐길 수 있는 무료 항구는 사랑스러운 터치였습니다.

A great stay - from beginning to end. We were made very welcome by Magda and Christo and shown to a very clean, smart and well equipped room with a stoepe. There is a good swimming pool area with sunloungers. The breakfasts were first class. The hosts and all their staff are very friendly and helpful and booked restaurants for us. The hotel is easy to find, has safe parking and is central for visiting the historical houses and is between 2 excellent restaurants. Ideal stay in Oudsthoorn.

한쪽에 있는 호텔은 매우 조용한 곳에 있고 다른 한쪽에는 중앙까지 20분 정도 가야 합니다. 가는 길에 묘지를 혼란스럽게 하지 않았고, 불길을 따라 모인 사람들을 혼란스럽게 했다. 잘했어요. 분명히 이것은 전 지역의 문제입니다. 아침부터 저녁까지 전기가 끊어졌습니다. 시작할 디젤 발전기나 불을 넣을 수 있다는 점을 감안할 때.

We visited as a family following a recommendation from a friend. This is not your ‘off the beaten track’ safari. It is a private game reserve, so sightings of the big 5 (minus the leopard who has not been seen on the reserve for 22 years) are more or less guaranteed, but you still have to track them down and sometimes they don’t want to be found easily. The reserve is kept as natural as possible, with animals mixing together and still expected to hunt for their food. It is a fantastic choice for families with young children as the drives are restricted to 2 hours twice a day, which is perfect to keep little ones interested. One thing to note is that you need at least two nights to see everything. The giraffes are kept in a valley, which is a two hour round trip from the base so a specific game drive is set aside for this visit. You won’t see the giraffes just wandering around with the rest of the animals on the reserve. You will however see an amazing collection of animals throughout the reserve and we were lucky enough to sight the baby cheetahs.

모셀 베이에 있는 훌륭한 호텔! 우리는 Mossel Bay가 바쁜 상업 항구라는 것을 몰랐지만 호텔은 좋은 방, 편안한 침대, 넉넉한 공간, 작은 간이 주방이 딸린 멋진 좌석 공간을 제공했습니다! 우리는 항구의 멋진 전망을 가지고 있었고 환영을 받고 친절한 환대로 우리 방으로 안내되었습니다. 숙소는 훌륭했고 우리는 저녁 식사를 위해 인접한 레스토랑인 Cafe Gannet에서 식사를 했습니다. 그것은 포장되었고 우리는 그 이유를 알고 있습니다 – 훌륭한 음식과 서비스! Mossel Bay 자체는 ”Garden Route”의 일부로서 우리에게 다소 실망스러웠지만 호텔은 훌륭했습니다.
