If you love yoga, the ocean and wildlife then this one’s for you! Yoga For The Wild is joining hands with The Manta Trust to offer you an afternoon of yoga and ocean conservation to raise funds and awareness for The Manta Trust and learn more about the wildlife and wilderness of The Maldives.
Where: Yoganand Studio (Queen Street, Bristol) & Online
When: Saturday 19th July 2-5PM BST
Cost: donation based (minimum donation £20 / £10 for online attendees)
THE YOGA
Our afternoon begins with an immersive hour of guided movement, led by Yoga For The Wild co-founder Kat Macleod, that will leave you feeling energized, rested and spacious.
THE CONSERVATION CONVERSATION
Then we’ll settle in with home baked goodies and a hot drink for a talk with Rebecca Carter; Head of Conservation Programmes for The Manta Trust. We’ll learn about the challenges facing Manta Rays in the wild, everything that The Manta Trust is doing to combat these and how you can help make a difference.
SEE MANTA RAYS IN THE WILD ON OUR NEXT RETREAT
We’ll finish the afternoon with a talk from Kat about her recent trip to The Maldives where she spent a week exploring the central atolls seeing Manta Rays, sharks, turtles and other marine life thriving in the wild.
For those who are attending in person and would like to stick around a little longer we will make our way down the road to Browns for a glass of wine and a social. For those attending online you'll be able to participate in the yoga class and the conservation conversation from wherever you are in the world.
*All donors will also recieve a 6-month Cyclone Membership from the Manta Trust and one month of free access to The Wild Studio: Yoga For The Wild's online yoga space
