ABOUT MAGGIE WALTERS Maggie Walters is a writer, mother, and storyteller based in the beautiful Northern Rivers of NSW. Originally from the US, she moved to Australia in 1996 after meeting her husband and has since built a life filled with family, creativity, and community. After years working in marketing and community relations, Maggie returned to her first love—writing—and hasn’t looked back. Her debut book, SPLIT: A Life Shared, Living with Multiple Personality Disorder, shares her deeply personal journey of navigating life with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). With honesty and warmth, Maggie challenges misconceptions about mental health and sheds light on the lived experience of DID, offering readers a rare and valuable perspective.
