Introducing the Teen-Prov Improv Comedy Class for High School Students in Los Angeles! This improvisational theater class, designed for ages 13-18 or grades 9-12, offers a unique opportunity to hone your improv comedy skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. Led by Betsy Stover, a seasoned improv performer, teacher, and coach, this class promises to be an incredible experience for aspiring young comedians.

Taking place on three consecutive Sundays - January 7th, 14th, and 21st, 2024 - from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lyric Hyperion Theater & Bar on 2106 Hyperion Avenue, Los Angeles, the class will also have an additional session on Sunday, January 28th, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The culmination of the class will be a showcase on Sunday, January 28th, 2024, at 4:30 PM, where students can demonstrate their newfound skills to friends and family.

To secure a spot for your child, please note that a class fee of $200 is required. Additionally, you will need to fill out and sign a waiver and information sheet. To obtain these documents, simply email Annethegreg@gmail.com, and they will be forwarded to you promptly.

Betsy Stover, the talented instructor of the Teen-Prov Improv Class, brings over 20 years of experience in improv comedy. With a background in acting and directing from NYU Tisch, Betsy has performed with ComedySportz Twin Cities and is a proud member of the UCB Theatre. Her passion for teaching improv comedy shines through, as she has been sharing her expertise since 2001. Betsy is married to fellow improv teacher Ari Voukydis, and together, they have three sons.

The Lyric Hyperion Theater & Bar offers easy street parking on Griffith Park Blvd, just one street over from Hyperion Ave. As a note, while there are currently no additional safety regulations for audiences, such as masking, please stay home if you feel unwell. The theater continues to update its policies according to changing health conditions.
