Join us for a relaxing session of still life and observational drawing, suitable for all skill levels. We’ll set up engaging still life arrangements and provide tea, coffee, and a variety of drawing tools to spark your creativity. We'll begin by exploring a range of observational drawing exercises, from quick sketches to experimenting with ink, charcoal, framing techniques, and even masking tape. After a short break, we’ll settle into two longer drawing sessions, allowing you to use your preferred tools and techniques. Whether you’re new to drawing or looking to refine your skills, this class offers a welcoming space to develop your observational eye and drawing techniques. This class is intended for adults age 16 +. Check out our other event listings for more activities! The tutor: Ruth ( she/ her) has 20+ years experience working as an artist and curator in the UK, the Netherlands, and the USA. She holds degrees in Visual Communication and Fine Arts and has a passion for teaching ceramics, drawing, and painting. The Venue: Creative Bloc is a new arts collective and creative studio in Glasgow North-West. 814 Garscube Road, G20 7ET.
Entrance to the studio is via one small step at the front door on Garscube road and there is level access from the car park at the back. Please email hello@creativeblocglasgow.com for more accessibility information.
Public transport:
First busses 60, 60A, 61 - Bluebird X10, X10A and West Coast Motors 17 all stop on Maryhill Road just 2 minutes walk away.
Kelvinbridge and St Georges Cross underground are approx 17mins walk.
Car:
There is on-street parking on Garscube Rd and a small visitors carpark at the back entrance, accessed via Firhill Rd.

우리는 1월의 어느 일요일 오후에 즉흥적으로 이곳을 방문했고, 철저히 즐겼습니다. 우리 꼬마는 &quot;구식 집&quot;을 보는 것을 좋아했고, 계산대에서 아파트까지, 그리고 다시 돌아오는 모든 직원들이 매우 잘 돌봐주었습니다.

우리는 두 번이나 돌아다녔고(방문 사이에 교대 근무를 했습니다!) 글래스고에서 의심할 여지 없이 수천 개의 이와 비슷한 이야기를 한 가지 통찰력으로 엿볼 수 있어서 환상적이었습니다. 게다가 우리 아들은 자신의 월리 굴에 색칠하는 것을 철저히 즐겼습니다. 가넷힐을 돌아다닐 만한 숨은 보석입니다.

조지 광장은 글래스고 도심에 위치하고 있으며 기차나 지하철로 매우 편리하게 접근할 수 있습니다. 날씨가 좋은 날에는 광장에서 일광욕을 즐기며 비둘기를 구경하실 수 있습니다. 기념품, 옷, 신발, 양말을 구입할 수 있는 유명한 쇼핑 거리와 가깝습니다. 선택할 수 있는 레스토랑과 식당도 많이 있습니다. 
조지 광장은 꼭 봐야 할 명소입니다. 광장의 건축물을 감상하는 것 외에도 크리스마스와 같은 다양한 축제 기간에는 광장이 크리스마스 시장으로 바뀌어 역동적이고 행복한 분위기로 변합니다.
