Get ready for an intense and physically demanding experience with the Special Forces Challenge - Day One of Selection. Inspired by the Special Air Service (SAS) Selection Course, this event will put your training, strength, endurance, and mental fortitude to the test. By completing a series of challenging military physical assessments, you will have the opportunity to prove yourself and potentially become part of the elite Special Forces team. Join us at the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational & Conference Center in Front Royal, VA, USA for a day filled with action and excitement. The SF Challenge - Day One of Selection begins with a 1.5 mile timed run to evaluate your cardiovascular fitness, followed by assessments of your core and upper body strength through exercises like Press Ups, Sit ups, and Pull ups. You will then undergo a swimming assessment to ensure your ability to survive a fall into water. Next, a 5 mile timed ruck march awaits, where you will carry a 70lbs load and finish with a body drag, fireman's carry, and rope climb. The final activity is a 5 mile weighted run with a 20lbs weight. Each of these activities is challenging on its own, but when done consecutively, they make up the SF Challenge - Day One of Selection. While the physical exertion will push you beyond your comfort level, it is important to note that completion of all events to the minimum standard is necessary to move on to Day Two of Selection. Only a small percentage of participants are expected to earn a Ticket to Day Two. This is a serious and official event, and participants are expected to approach it with dedication and determination. No positive or negative reinforcement will be provided during the challenge, so participants must find the strength and motivation within themselves to succeed.
