You've already decided to build an off-grid solar system, but how do you find out what size you need?
This friendly and informative workshop is to work out what size off-grid solar system you need to build to power everything you need. You'll learn how to calculate what solar panel, battery, and inverter capacity is needed for items you want to power - please bring the wattage of anything you have in mind!
Minimal maths competence is required, a love of tea a bonus.
Note: this is an information and discussion workshop, not a practical demonstration.
Off grid solar
An off-grid solar system is a solar panel system that generates electricity, stores that power in solar batteries, and runs independently from the power grid, for example camper vans, sheds, converted trucks. You can not live off grid in your house (yet!) If you are interested in solar for your home come along to our '

to hear about upcoming domestic solar events.
This workshop will be facilitated by Arran, the Green Handyman for Energise Sussex Coast. Arran lives off-grid himself and has been building off grid workshops for over 20 years - building solar systems to power stages at festivals as well as small solar projects. Arran is self taught and wants to share the knowledge and skills he's learnt along the way.
