The Screen Acting Intensive, taking place from February 24th to April 6th, 2024, offers professional actors and those in training a unique opportunity to refine their skills and master the art of screen performances. Held every Saturday morning at the renowned Collective Acting Studio in London, this intensive course aims to replicate the intensity and discipline of working on set, allowing participants to cultivate the confidence and resilience required for exceptional acting in front of the camera. Whether you're new to screen acting or have prior experience, the course covers essential aspects such as hitting your mark, maintaining continuity, and adapting your performance for different shot sizes. As a developmental program, it is recommended to book all six sessions. However, for more experienced actors, the sessions can be attended on a drop-in basis to further enhance and maintain their screen acting abilities while managing other professional commitments. Our approach integrates exercises from esteemed practitioners like Stanislavski, Meisner, Hagen, Adler, Laban, and Katie Mitchell, along with valuable insights from celebrated screen actors and filmmakers. Past participants at Collective Acting Studio have achieved remarkable success in Hollywood films, Broadway productions, National Theatre performances, West End shows, and series for major networks such as Netflix, HBO, BBC, ITV, and Channel 4. We are dedicated to inclusivity and strive to minimize barriers to access for aspiring actors. Scholarships are available for individuals facing challenging circumstances.
