In the midst of rage, grief, fear, and heartbreak, it's crucial that our collective action includes collective care. We care for our bodies and our energy for the sake of sustaining our resistance movements as an act of deep love for ourselves, our comrades and our community. It allows us to keep organizing, keep teaching, keep caregiving, and keep struggling for the world we long for.
For that reason, Freedom Healers DC is hosting a Replenishment Gathering for Collective Struggle: 
An in-person, COVID-conscious healing refuge
 to reflect, replenish and alchemize our grief, rage, hope & trauma into interdependent resilience, radical imagination, and a more resourced and healed DC community!
Register to join us Sunday, April 27 from 2-5pm at St. Stephen and the Incarnation Episcopal Church (
1525 Newton St NW) 
to commune with us and fellow comrades, receive services from local practitioners, practice self and communal care in guided workshops.
Offerings will include:
Massage lessons, grief tending letter writing, reiki, guided stretching, soundbath, herbalism, and more! For more info about Freedom Healers DC purpose and members

Cost: 
Free for BIPOC, sliding scale $30-130+ for white or financially privileged folks. All money will be put towards event expenses and the remainder will be distributed evenly among our practitioners.
Who's invited: 
Open to all folks who have been collectively fighting for the liberation of Palestinian, Sudanese, Congolese peoples, defending lives and freedoms, including trans people, immigrants, organizers, and Black people here in the US, and/or the end of facism, settler colonialism & the US empire in general.
Covid Norms: 
N95 or KN95 Masks will be required indoors, and we will have multiple HEPA filters running. Please test before coming if you can, especially if you've been unmasked in crowded indoor or outdoor spaces in the week leading up to the event. Please do not attend if you've been exposed to covid or are feeling any symptoms in the 5 days before the event.

There is an entrance with a ramp on the side of the church! Enter the path off of Meridian Pl NW and go through the fence to the red door
Gender neutral bathrooms are available
Noise level: there may be music and talking throughout the event. We will have an introverts corner with activities available. Please plan accordingly, bring your own earplugs and anything that might make you more comfortable.
We cannot control the room temperature, please be ready for a potentially chilly room or a warm room.
Parking:
Parking at church is limited, we recommend parking on Newton or Monroe St.
Transit:
Available buses are on 16th (and Newton St) is the S2, and 14th (and Newton) St is the 52 and 54
Closest Metro is the Columbia Heights Metro (Green line). There is a 9 minute walk from the metro.

국회의사당을 방문하려면 미리 예약을 하고 티켓을 구매해야 합니다. 요구 사항에 따라 정해진 시간에 도착해야 합니다. 사람이 많으니 일정에 차질이 없도록 미리 도착하시기 바랍니다. 중국 투어는 사전에 예약할 수 있습니다. 중국 투어이긴 하지만, 외국인 투어 가이드는 영어로 말하고, 통역기를 사용해서 중국어로 번역한 후 우리에게 재생해주는데, 매우 흥미로웠습니다. 국회의사당의 내부도 건물 자체의 관점에서 볼 때 아름답습니다. 방문 시 반드시 설명을 따라야 합니다.

내셔널 몰

내셔널 몰은 워싱턴을 방문하는 관광객이 꼭 방문해야 할 곳입니다. 한쪽 끝에는 링컨 기념관이 있고, 다른 쪽 끝에는 워싱턴 기념탑이 있으며, 가운데에는 물웅덩이가 있고 양쪽에는 녹지 공간이 있습니다. 주변에는 제2차 세계대전 승전 기념관, 베트남 전쟁 기념관, 제퍼슨 기념관 등 여러 기념관이 있습니다. 매년 열리는 워싱턴 벚꽃 축제의 아름다운 벚꽃도 이곳에서 만발합니다. 우리는 4월 말에 워싱턴에 도착했습니다. 안타깝게도 벚꽃은 이미 시들어서 흔적도 남아 있지 않았습니다. 꽃이 만발했을 때의 풍경이 얼마나 아름다웠을지 상상할 수 있었습니다.
