Join the fab and relaxed beginners knitting workshop in Blackpool, where participants will have the opportunity to learn the basic stitches required to create their very own scarf. This interactive workshop is perfect for those who are new to knitting and wish to acquire the essential skills to start their own knitting project. Throughout the class, attendees will be guided step by step in the process of knitting their scarf, and will even receive equipment and materials to take home and complete their project. The workshop covers various topics such as equipment and types of yarn, basic stitches including casting on/off, knit (stocking) stitch and purl stitch, and designing a simple scarf without a pattern. Additionally, participants will be provided with step by step tuition, all necessary equipment and materials, and a vegan lunch along with hot/cold drinks. This session, supported by Blackpool Council, aims to assist with the growing cost of living. If the scheduled date is not suitable, there is an alternative session available on Friday 19 January. For those with additional access needs, please contact us in advance so we can accommodate your requirements. The venue is easily accessible by tram or bus, and there are several pay and display car parks nearby for those driving.
