From ephemeral letterbox flyers to rare tomes from centuries past, the Library collects a multitude of formats! Each year it adds approximately 57,000 published items to the collection, with a focus on documenting life in NSW and Australia. Join curators Alice Tonkinson and Sarah Morley for an evening of newly acquired published delights, including private press books, mid-century travel posters, ephemera and twentieth-century first editions. Sarah Morley is the Coordinator of Published Collections at the State Library of NSW. She has worked extensively with the Library’s archival and printed collections. Focusing on manuscripts, rare books and children’s literature, Sarah’s work encompasses collection acquisition, access, promotion and interpretation. She has curated numerous exhibitions and displays for the Library, most recently For All Time: Shakespeare in print. Alice Tonkinson is a librarian in the Collection Acquisition & Curation branch. With a background in history and museum and heritage studies, Alice has worked extensively with the Library’s maps, ephemera and posters collections. She has curated numerous displays and exhibitions at the Library, including Maps of the Pacific. 정말 멋진 경험이었어요! 코알라, 캥거루, 기린 같은 동물들은 우리에 갇혀 있지 않아서 가까이 다가가서 볼 수도 있었어요 ✨ 하지만 많은 동물들은 사람들이 볼 수 없는 곳에 숨어 있거나 낮잠을 자고 있었어요. 동물원이 언덕길이라서 도착하면 정문 위쪽으로 가는 게 훨씬 수월할 거예요.

시드니 SEA LIFE에서 정말 즐거운 시간을 보냈습니다! 수족관은 아름답게 디자인되어 있었고, 다양한 해양 생물들을 가까이서 볼 수 있어서 정말 좋았습니다. 특히 상어, 펭귄, 그리고 멋진 바닷터널을 볼 수 있어서 더욱 좋았습니다. 구조가 잘 되어 있어서 탐험하기 쉬웠고, 모든 것이 잘 관리되어 있고 유익했습니다. 어른과 아이 모두에게 좋은 경험이었습니다. 시드니를 방문하는 모든 분들께 강력 추천합니다!

WILD LIFE Sydney는 정말 즐겁고 기억에 남는 경험이었습니다! 코알라, 캥거루, 웜뱃 같은 호주의 상징적인 동물들을 가까이서 볼 수 있었습니다. 직원들은 친절하고 해박했으며, 전시는 깨끗하고 잘 정돈되어 있었습니다. 도시를 떠나지 않고도 호주의 야생 동물에 대해 더 자세히 알아볼 수 있는 완벽한 장소입니다. 꼭 방문할 가치가 있습니다!
