The Girobabies (Acoustic Set) Baffling ned punk with a pinch of psychedelic utopian and a dollop of gutter-rock dystopian grit.The Glasgow based band released their debut album 'Who Took Utopia?' to critical acclaim. This was a self-produced and self-released follow up to previous mini LPs ‘Bus Stop Apocalypse’ & ‘Social Not Working’ where the Girobabies used an indie/grunge, almost punk, backbeat to deliver pertinent political/social observations akin to the likes of the Sleaford Mods, The Streets & The Fall.  They are a true festival band and have taken their live show with recent highlights being a sold out Glasgow Barrowlands show, appearing on live television and being personally asked to support one of their all time heroes and influences Steve Mason (The Beta Band) They have also gained celebrity fans in the form of Paolo Nutini, Paul Heaton and Alabama 3who called them 'The Best Rock n Roll band in Scotland ' and will be releasing their new album 'Dreams Are Mental' on March 29th 2025 . Victoria McNulty Award winning poet, writer and performer from Glasgow. Her poetry collection Confessionals and Exiles have been published by Speculative Books. Confessionals was developed into a spoken word theatre show by Sonnet Youth and toured nationally to critical acclaim, while Exiles was developed into a feature theatre film. Work from the latter won the 2022 Annual John Byrne award.
