Welcome to Freshwalks. This event is part of our vibrant Merseyside business community programme delivered in collaboration with Haines Watts , Bathgate Business Finance and Cummins Financial Advisers . Everyone is welcome to join us for a day of hiking and networking in the great outdoors. Feel free to come alone - most Freshwalkers do - and you'll be warmly welcomed or invite a colleague or client along for company. Route description The walk begins outside Waterloo Sunset Cafe, close to Marine Lake. We’ll head straight for the seafront to join the Sefton coastal path, walking in the direction of Crosby Beach, permanent home to ‘Another Place’, the sculpture by internationally acclaimed artist, Antony Gormley. Passing through Crosby we’ll walk along the coast, close to Blundellsands and Hall Road stations, offering slightly later options to join our group. We’ve suggested the RNLI station on Crosby Beach as a fixed meeting point 4km into our route, accessible from Hall Road station (7 mins walk). We then cut inland temporarily to circumnavigate Altcar rifle range before a final stretch of beach along Formby Point. We plan to end our walk at The Freshfield public house and will pass the train station en-route (7 mins walk away) where you can head back to Liverpool or the start of the walk.
