Throughout the course, you’ll explore the captivating process of creating ½-scale variations from a basic block. You'll have the opportunity to experiment with a variety of styles, including different skirts, sleeves, collars, and dart manipulations derived from a block. Whether you’re a beginner striving to expand your abilities or an experienced sewist looking to refine your craft, this workshop is thoughtfully designed to be both informative and inspiring. What You’ll Learn:
Introduction to Pattern Making
What is a pattern?
Essential tools of the trade.
Understanding pattern anatomy.
Pattern adaptions
What is a block, and why is it important?
Learn to create various skirt adaptations, including flared skirts, panel skirts with a yoke, and godets.
Learn to create various sleeve adaptations, such as a gathered sleeve head and a cuff.
Learn to make various collar adaptations, such as a Peter Pan and a classic collar.
Learn about dart manipulation.
How to properly label and mark individual pattern pieces with symbols and notches.

Hours: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Skill Level: Beginner-friendly. No prior experience is required.
