Course Overview This course will introduce you to the exciting and limitless possibilities of a modern 3D workshop. You can explore processes including laser etching and cutting, digital vinyl cutting, sand blasting and colour heat transfer, whilst working with a variety of materials including wood, metal, plastic, resins and jesmonite. You will be encouraged to explore hi-tech and low tech processes to create an array of one off decorative items for your home such as clocks, mirrors, coasters and more. Basic materials are supplied to get you started. You will be advised accordingly of any additional materials required depending on what you would personally like to achieve. Venue, Dates, Times Term starts on 29th April. There will be 8 sessions, and there will be a half term break on the week of 27th May. The last session will be 24th June. All sessions will be held in the 3D workshop at our College Road Campus. Sessions will start at 6.30pm and will finish at approximately 9pm. About the Tutor Ian is an artist blacksmith with over 12 years of experience creating decorative metalwork, public sculptures, and community art from his Herefordshire forge. Alongside commissions, he has run workshops and mentored students. A “Jack of all trades,” Ian has also worked as a photographer, film projectionist, and gallery technician, notably photographing Australian Aboriginal artifacts for National Museums Liverpool in 2009. Since 2008, he has been a 3D technical demonstrator at Hereford College of Arts, specializing in small-scale forging, photo etching, wood turning, and laser cutting. Refunds Please note that tickets can be refunded up to 5 days before the course starts. Beyond that point, refunds may be given based on individual circumstances.
